In Turkey, we make papkin (zucchinis) for dessert; we peel them, cut them into square pieces, cook them in sugar water, cool them down, then decorate them with cream, walnuts and sesame sauce and eat them. Enjoy your meal
I'm new to your channel so I don't know who's who. But watching that lovely lass discovering the world of pumpkin carving was a delight. And the light-bulb moment when she realized that she could plant the seeds and sell the crop next halloween and 'be rich' was a joy. ☺ Thanks for sharing.
Great video Declan! Personally, your Nightshade was a favorite of mine. Sad to see him go. Best wishes with the new bull! Lovely new Gal! Well done with the pumpkins. Happy Galloween to you too!
Good man Declan, best of luck with the new bull nothing ventured nothing gained,im sure you could modify the trailer to suit, good to see you back with the videos👍
Best of luck with your new bull and cow. I wiuld stay with angus but if you wanted to change dead right to try something different and see how it goes. Would like to see videos more often. Thanks.
Trailer will do the job if you're only going to be selling a few weanlings, maybe you could modify it by fitting a loading ramp and gates, it would be a nice project for you, I'm sure you could even make you own 12' x 5' 10'' if you needed. Nothing has failed you yet. Can wait to see the new calves next year. Happy Halloween.
I hope you don't regret your choice of the Highland in the future. I happen to think that has been a poor decision in the long term for your herd as the calves although physically tough and robust they dont produce a good carcase and take forever to get to slaughter weight. Your new heifer though looks just the job for your system.
Good video. You won’t be selling highland weanlings off the cow anyway. You’ll have to keep them 2+ years anyway. They’ll fatten off nothing but they’re long keep to get any price for them. Anyone that tells you otherwise is only hoping or telling lies or doesn’t know what they’re on about. €400 would buy a highland weanling in October/November
I would think twice before letting him out with cows - weanling price would be no more than bucket reared calves and impossible to finish let him on again and get yourself a good limousin or charolais - smashing heifer
Yes exactly right, Trailers are very expensive to keep road worthy, tyres axles brakes lights if looking for used trailer you would want to know what to look for
I don't mean to be bad but you have made a massive mistake with the bull, if you sell calves as weanlings prices will be very poor, and if you finish them yourself it would be worse

Your honesty is unreal one day you will have the trailer .just worried how safe it was for a bull love your videos miss your granddad👍

Good man Declan. Two great purchases, please God they are very lucky for you.
Looking forward to seeing the calves in the spring. 👍🏼
Happy Halloween.
Highland and short horn and Galloway cattle are all really easy to care for and they can take weather better than most cattle.

Good luck with your new bull but bye god you took some chances with that trailer time for a new investment in a trailer 😮
Great video Declan, good luck with your cattle!!! Happy Halloween!! Greetings from Austria !!

Would you eventually get highland cows or for now continue the herd?

yeah trailer will do fine but I think a ramp would be better than that door too

make yourself a better door in to the cowbox, maybe your usual 2 gate and ramp, can only see it as an improvement on what's there now

I think you are mad to have changed from the angus bulls tbh ,but best of luck with new bull
Haha i dont think your the only one! we can always go back but have to try new things sometimes! Thanks Gerry
That was a bad decision there is no demand for highland crosses and they don't kill out well
I would think twice before letting him out with cows - weanling price would be no more than bucket reared calves and impossible to finish let him on again and get yourself a good limousin or charolais - smashing heifer
Were is ur girl friend from Declan can’t work out her accent ur a handy pair with them knifes

Sounds Brazilian kkk

You should go back into your charolais cattle
