Me and my husband just came back from our 1st Orlando informer Meetup this past weekend. We had the best time ever. Very well organized event.

The beginning had me thinking of Monsters Inc lol ("Always, I mean never go out in a blizzard."). Self serve included Butterbeer sounds like the most amazing thing ever lol. I too love fries & my wife & I love chain riding our favorite rides. The park benches part had me rolling lol.

Wow that looks like so much fun. Reminds me of the time my friends and I walked down the streets of islands of adventure sing at the top of our lungs because the park was closing in 30 minutes and was basically empty. We saw like one group of guys and they shouted good natured my at us. Empty parks at night are the best!

I just got back from Universal. Had such an amazing time. I we saw all the Orlando Informer signs and lines while there. It seemed amazing as I got a little glimpse while leaving after getting into Hargirds line at 6:50pm before park close. I am definitely going to look into buying tickets to the meet up next year.

Thank you both for calling my attention to this event (again!). The next one is at the tail end of my family's Disney trip and I was able to snag a ticket and extend my stay without them. No finer way to end a Family Vacation than an extra dose of solo travel.

Have told many people here in Tennessee. This is the best way to do Universal parks. What you get for the price is so worth it. Little info on Pteranodon Flyers is the one ride that is never on Single Attraction Pass (It’s compensation they give out if something happens)
We miss Tennessee from time to time! Luckily we get to go home once every few months to see family!

That’s so exciting!! No, they don’t keep single rider lines open as far as I know. We didn’t ride Hagrid’s, but when we walked by it was around 45 minutes!

it is both parks and there is even a road between minions and Seuss landing that they open up so you don't have to walk all the way around.

Hi Anna ant Trevor was fantastic meeting you both , sorry if I talked your ears off ! My Wife and self had the same problems with getting any toppings or having " limitations " on ice cream choices. I reported it to Orlando Informer they said they have a unhappy conversation with UO management, since FULL service on the food items offered was supposed to be available , ie. Condiments on ice cream ect., Please check in Dec to see if this was fixed. Quite often we got the excuse we are a " 3rd " party doing the service at food and drink venues to reduced service on the offered food for the OI meet-up or the venues purposely made bottle necks to slow down food service reducing profit loss , functionality of convenience. For example Krusty Burger they forced everyone into one line, we wasted 40min of our meet-up time, I was in a ECV put into a line I couldn't get out of ( metal rails ) even if I wanted to leave 😔
Hi Sean, it was so nice meeting you, too! We enjoyed getting to talk to you and your wife! We’ve heard several people were upset about the ice cream toppings 😂 it wasn’t a big deal to us, but we could see how Universal could really save themselves some money doing things like that. Just part of it, unfortunately, but overall the event is run extremely well!
The amount of free snacks I can eat knows no bounds.

We would call Universal to make sure! I don’t think you’ll need your ID to get into the parks, but they’ll probably ask for it when you pick up your tickets.

The Dec one. Long time away but we’ve got 3-4 trips planned. I feel somewhat crazy but we did the math and with all of your money saving tips and unused flight vouchers we had from cancelled covid trips we can do it without breaking the bank. I’m so excited! Is the meetup for adults only. we will be down at the end of May and first of June for 12 days and would like to go but we will have 11 year old with us. Ok, I watched the video again and watched closer and saw kids. great video guys.

I think this is my favorite video so far! Really enjoyed this style. I’ve never heard of this event until now. Sounds awesome! What were the wait times likes for the Hagrid’s or VelociCoaster ? I think that plays a factor into my decision.
Oh my gosh, thank you! We’ve been trying some different stuff, so we really appreciate you saying that. We didn’t ride either of those, but I would assume in the 20-40 minute range. We’ve heard Universal is bad about overestimating the Hagrid’s wait time (even during the meetups) to discourage people from getting in line, though 😬😂

I will be at the parks the weekend if Dec 10th & 11th. I believe there is an OI meetup that weekend. I do not have ticket to the meet up, will the affect my time in the parks?
It won’t! The meetups are an after hours event, so people with a meetup ticket just get to stay later. We hope you have a great time on your trip!!
Coming to Universal for the first time 2/4-2/8 and considering adding the meetup on 2/4 to our plan (2/4 wasn’t going to be a park day as we fly in around 5). You mentioned in another video that meetup attendees get assigned a park to start in. Can you then hop to the other park at any time, or do you have to wait for after regular park hours. We’re hoping we could also check out the concert in US, even if we were ‘assigned’ to IOA. Thanks!
Your “assigned” park is just the side you’re supposed to check in on, then you can do whatever you’d like! You do have to have your meetup ticket to swap between the two parks, but that’s it!
@@ThePughTwo Thanks for the helpful info. We bought our tickets yesterday, and will come right to the Meetup after flying in Saturday and checking in at the hotel, followed by our previously scheduled park days. We are so excited!

Hi! We just got our OI Mert up email for our very first meet up for the 9th!! We had to cancel our HHN trip, thanks Ian, so this is our replacement trip!! QUESTION(s): the email says we can get in line at 3. Should we que up sooner? We have annual passes, so we're good to go in and just stay, right? THANK YOU!

Orlando, informer - Is that a yearly membership or something like that ? How it works ?
Orlando Informer is a company that rents out the parks and sells tickets to their event. There’s a link in the description of this video to their website where you can purchase tickets!
We've been to several meetups and have yet to get the ride the ptranodon flyers
I think it can only get a few hundred people on per night. Each time a bird goes, only one person can be on it because of the weight restrictions, so the line goes really slowly! We had been to at least 4 before we finally got drawn for the lottery.
Do you need an invitation to attend the informer meetups or is it just a more expensive ticket?
Oh no! You can purchase tickets on their website. They sell a 2-night ticket (Friday & Saturday nights bundled together) for less than a 2-day park ticket with express. Plus it includes all your food! If you’re someone that’s just wanting to go for a few days to experience the parks, it’s a great value!
The pugh crew when is the meet up and what time I am a pass holder
Orlando Informer holds several meetups throughout the year! Passholders don’t automatically get access, you have to buy a separate ticket through Orlando Informer. You can find more info on their website!

Anyone can buy tickets! The Orlando Informer website (where you can buy tickets) is linked in the description of this video!
Be warned the OI meet-up events are very popular, find out the ticket sales release dates and jump on buying them immediately, they sell out within hours of release , especially the 2 day tickets, then next find out when the resort discounted rates are available and grab the deal as fast as you can for the resort of your choice, these are also grabbed up quickly. Cabana Bay is one of the most popular. Note if you miss the resort group OI meet-up discount opportunity, and you have a UOAP there may still be a possibility of getting a 30% discount if the resort has openings for it, these are limited too. Good Luck !

Unfortunately no! They’ve already announced their dates for 2023, you can find them on their website!
In your opinion is the summer meetup or the winter meetup better?
They’re both amazing! It really just depends the weather you’re hoping for. They also sometimes have seasonal offerings in winter if it lines up with the holidays at Universal, but that’s really the only differences.
Yeah....going to chain ride velocicoaster if possible...maybe for 30 minutes to an hour. .

If you can't eat the food (dietary restriction, please don't judge), is it still worth the cost of a ticket to go to a meet up?
We would never judge!! And we still think it could be worth it because it’s basically like having express. Better, a lot of the time, actually. Plus, you can get free bottles of water or other non-alcoholic drinks with the included food!
There are locations that dietary items like veg, and non-gluten , Krusty Burger food court venue has offerings In Lisa's section for example, wife and I are diabetics we had to pace ourselves, test glucose levels and inject more insulin if needed and bring your favorite sweetener like Spenda , but the standard ones are available, grab some crystal light to use with water.

That’s a great question! I think we saw Hagrid’s around a 50 minute wait, but I doubt the line was actually that long.
