In other words, what Jordan Belfort did, proved to have worked in his favor since he only served 2 years in prison and paying that fine (whatever the amount) might have been!! In the end, he still got away with it in my opinion, because he got to keep most of the millions he made through his "pump-and-dump" scheme!!
Mlm can work if you find the right one for you, make your money then leave, I made 10k pulled my money and build my business, people knock but there so many out there if your smart you can make it work for you. Its definitely not a long term thing but as a single mother I got what I needed.

He then just kept it in a safe, came back after a few months and returned the entire amount and apologized that it didn't grew. He was then given a portion of the money he returned coz he's "honest".
Why do some people get con, realise it, regret it, go on to make back the money they lost only to get con again. And again and again throughout their entire life.
Cause some people don’t want to do the work to make more money. But then again regular work doesn’t reward you for performance so there’s a small window for success in any way you look. 🤷🏽♂️
A scammer went to phone store and moved a SIM card to his device ( property bribed a worker there), got into my crypto account and moved everything out- all in about an hour. By the time I realized my phone was t working, found someone’s phone to call customer service and fix it- the money was gone.

One is better described as insurance... the illegal form is sold as an investment. One is a program of offsetting future costs while the illegal one is about making money. If they sold social security as an "investment" then it would be similar, but its being sold as insurance.
