Rock and alternative music fan here who does not understand Arabic but I have been repeating this video as his voice is beautiful. The message transcends language and I can feel it in my being. The fact he was kind and respectful to the cat too earns my respect.
the reason why you are interested in it is because the Quran appeals to the innate nature of the human being. Its called the fitra. Even if your mind wants to reject the message, your heart yearns for it and recognizes its creator. It cannot turn away. Look at it as a sign. Because that's what it is.
I implore you to read the Qu'ran as a Muslim though I believe you should listen to recitation by Mishrad al alafasy. The RUclips Channel Zikurallah TV and Ayat have really good recitations which are really soothing and emotionally touching. They have the english translation underneath so I believe you will benefit from listening to it. I would suggest you to listen to Surah Ar-Rahman, Surah Bayyinah, Surah Al-Jinn, Surah Al-buruj, Surah Qayyimah, Surah Faitah, Surah Fath and Surah Ash Shur'ra. These are all really beautiful with beautiful translations though I do suggest if you want to truly understand the Qu'ran I suggest watching Tafseer Lectures by Nouman Ali Kha, Yasir Qadhi and the such. If you believe that cleanliness is next to godliness, and you also believe animals are created by your god, then a clean animal is surely going to be considered a special beast indeed. Cats happen to be one of those clean beasts. So really, it'd have been OUT of character for that man, a devout Muslim, to have treated that cat any way differently than he did.

Oh, well. I have no faith at all and feel no urge to pray. But I had this workmate, a strictly observant muslim, who set a corner in the warehouse for his prays. I was deeply shoked to see the dedication and devotion mesmerizing him during the praytime. I think that not even electrocution would made him flinch, much less a cat. I ended up helping him to better dial in the qibla for his pray spot. 😊

When I was in Morocco recently, in the early morning the locals would put out, not plain old cat food but cans of John west salmon and tuna (costing nearly €4 in my country) imagine doing this every morning for the strays and this is from the poorest of people. The depth of kindness shown there to the wild dogs and cats was so touching. It is a credit to them. I came away loving Morocco. 🇮🇪❤🇲🇦
I love Morroco too. Visited 25 years ago - all the stray dogs looked healthy and happy. Walked on the beach and 5 dogs gathered and walked with us. Then when we returned to the town, they just melted away. They even gathered and walked in front of us and split up a group of men who were strolling towards us - clearing a path. It was just natural and peaceful - but my friend and I just looked at each other and said "wow". Lovely photos of them still. Very special

Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? Surely you follow nothing but ˹false˺ assumptions and you do nothing but lie.” It should be noted that Imam didn't do that just because the cat is adorable, no, but rather, because it's Islam (the religion of peace) which taught us to have mercy on these beautiful creatures. I'd say it's a fairly good bet. An educated guess you might say. Folks who don't like animals get very uncomfortable around them, and the animals in turn can sense that as well. As a pet owner I know the cat in this video has their own unique personality and feels very comfortable jumping on this mans shoulder. He went back down into the well and filled his shoe, putting it into his mouth (in order to climb back up) and then gave the dog water. Therefore Allah thanked him and forgave him." They said, "Messenger of Allah, will we have a reward on account of animals?" He said, "There is a reward on account of every living thing."

this happens when a person empties his heart for it (prayer), and focuses on it to the exlusion of all else, and prefers it to everything else.
true faith is when the heart feels aware and humble before the greatness and glory of Allaah, and is filled with awe, fear and shyness, so that the heart is utterly humbled before Allaah and broken, as it were, with fear, shyness, love and the recognition of the blessings of Allaah and its own sins.

Rock and alternative music fan here who does not understand Arabic but I have been repeating this video as his voice is beautiful. The message transcends language and I can feel it in my being. The fact he was kind and respectful to the cat too earns my respect.
the reason why you are interested in it is because the Quran appeals to the innate nature of the human being. Its called the fitra. Even if your mind wants to reject the message, your heart yearns for it and recognizes its creator. It cannot turn away. Look at it as a sign. Because that's what it is.

I implore you to read the Qu'ran as a Muslim though I believe you should listen to recitation by Mishrad al alafasy.
The RUclips Channel Zikurallah TV and Ayat have really good recitations which are really soothing and emotionally touching. They have the english translation underneath so I believe you will benefit from listening to it.
I would suggest you to listen to Surah Ar-Rahman, Surah Bayyinah, Surah Al-Jinn, Surah Al-buruj, Surah Qayyimah, Surah Faitah, Surah Fath and Surah Ash Shur'ra.
These are all really beautiful with beautiful translations though I do suggest if you want to truly understand the Qu'ran I suggest watching Tafseer Lectures by Nouman Ali Kha, Yasir Qadhi and the such. Surah Ar-Rahman, Surah Fath and Surah Bayyinah are all really beautiful

But I had this workmate, a strictly observant muslim, who set a corner in the warehouse for his prays.
I was deeply shoked to see the dedication and devotion mesmerizing him during the praytime. I think that not even electrocution would made him flinch, much less a cat.
I ended up helping him to better dial in the qibla for his pray spot. 😊
As a cat lover I salute this man! They can be a little nuisance sometimes but the man kept his cool 😎

When I was in Morocco recently, in the early morning the locals would put out, not plain old cat food but cans of John west salmon and tuna (costing nearly €4 in my country) imagine doing this every morning for the strays and this is from the poorest of people. The depth of kindness shown there to the wild dogs and cats was so touching. It is a credit to them. I came away loving Morocco. 🇮🇪❤🇲🇦

I love Morroco too. Visited 25 years ago - all the stray dogs looked healthy and happy. Walked on the beach and 5 dogs gathered and walked with us. Then when we returned to the town, they just melted away. They even gathered and walked in front of us and split up a group of men who were strolling towards us - clearing a path. It was just natural and peaceful - but my friend and I just looked at each other and said "wow". Lovely photos of them still. Very special

Say, "With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."

Translation:
The polytheists will argue, “Had it been Allah’s Will, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated others with Him ˹in worship˺ or made anything unlawful.” Likewise, those before them rejected the truth until they tasted Our punishment. Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? Surely you follow nothing but ˹false˺ assumptions and you do nothing but lie.”
It should be noted that Imam didn't do that just because the cat is adorable, no, but rather, because it's Islam (the religion of peace) which taught us to have mercy on these beautiful creatures.
The Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth. "
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا، فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا، وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خِشَاشِ الأَرْضِ ". قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَهُ.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "One day a man became very thirsty while walking down the road. He came across a well, went down into it, and drank and then climbed out. In front of him he found a dog panting, eating the dust out of thirst. The man said, 'This dog is as thirsty as I was.' He went back down into the well and filled his shoe, putting it into his mouth (in order to climb back up) and then gave the dog water. Therefore Allah thanked him and forgave him." They said, "Messenger of Allah, will we have a reward on account of animals?" He said, "There is a reward on account of every living thing."

وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ -فِي اَلْهِرَّةِ-: { إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِنَجَسٍ, إِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنْ اَلطَّوَّافِينَ عَلَيْكُمْ }

Allahu-Akbar. All Humans will have to return back to the soil. Believe in only Allah & the prophet Muhammad before you die, nonbeliever will be forbidden to go to heaven/ Jannah, and will not get a 2nd chance to get back to earth even though he/ she will cry. 1️⃣- Islam gives logical and simple idea for God - He is a perfect God - He is neither a man nor a son of man nor an Idol or a Godhead (trinity) nor limited nor created - He is totally uncomparable, unique and to Himbelongs all the good particularities, names, attributes and oneness.
2️⃣-Islam accepts all Messengers and Prophets of God - about 124000 Prophets and 314 Messengers, peace be upon them all.
In Islam, we love all the Prophets of God and we can't deny any of them - while in other religions such as Judaism for example - they reject Jesus and Mohammed -- and in Christianity they reject Muhammad ... but in Islam,we accept all Prohets without discrimination.
3️⃣-In Islam, there is no mediator between you and God -- you can pray to God directly - there is no need for someone in between.
4️⃣- Islam is the Only religion that is Not named after a person or a tribe or a group, its name means submission to the One True God, if anyone anywhere at any time lived the life of submission to the true God alone , then heis a Muslim.
5️⃣- In Islam (worship) is not about mere rituals.
it's a comprehensive term that includes any deed that pleases God. All good deeds are types of worship : smiling, being sincere at work, saying a nice word, and even treating one's spouse gently, all this is greatly rewarded by God.On the other hand, any deed that doesn't please God is a sin;talking bad about people is a sin, cheating, lying, hurting innocent people, harming the environment, etc.
6️⃣-In Islam, God is always Forgiving - if you always repent (before death ) He will just accept you no matter how great sins you did.He forgives us out of His own grace - there is no price to be paid in order for Him to forgive.So, it's not like Christianity which says that God can't forgive except by blood of Jesus.

Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? Surely you follow nothing but ˹false˺ assumptions and you do nothing but lie.”
It should be noted that Imam didn't do that just because the cat is adorable, no, but rather, because it's Islam (the religion of peace) which taught us to have mercy on these beautiful creatures.
The Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth. "
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا، فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا، وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خِشَاشِ الأَرْضِ ". قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَهُ.
And:
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "One day a man became very thirsty while walking down the road. He came across a well, went down into it, and drank and then climbed out. In front of him he found a dog panting, eating the dust out of thirst. The man said, 'This dog is as thirsty as I was.' He went back down into the well and filled his shoe, putting it into his mouth (in order to climb back up) and then gave the dog water. Therefore Allah thanked him and forgave him." They said, "Messenger of Allah, will we have a reward on account of animals?" He said, "There is a reward on account of every living thing."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ اشْتَدَّ بِهِ الْعَطَشُ، فَوَجَدَ بِئْرًا فَنَزَلَ فِيهَا، فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، فَإِذَا كَلْبٌ يَلْهَثُ، يَأْكُلُ الثَّرَى مِنَ الْعَطَشِ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: لَقَدْ بَلَغَ هَذَا الْكَلْبَ مِنَ الْعَطَشِ مِثْلُ الَّذِي كَانَ بَلَغَنِي، فَنَزَلَ الْبِئْرَ فَمَلَأَ خُفَّاهُ، ثُمَّ أَمْسَكَهَا بِفِيهِ، فَسَقَى الْكَلْبَ، فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ، فَغَفَرَ لَهُ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَإِنَّ لَنَا فِي الْبَهَائِمِ أَجْرًا؟ قَالَ: فِي كُلِّ ذَاتِ كَبِدٍ رَطْبَةٍ أَجْرٌ.

Narrated Abu Qatada (rad): Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said about the cat that, “It is not unclean, but is one of those who intermingle with you.” [Reported by Al-Arba’a. At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Khuzaima graded it Sahih (sound)].
وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ -فِي اَلْهِرَّةِ-: { إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِنَجَسٍ, إِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنْ اَلطَّوَّافِينَ عَلَيْكُمْ }

@@allaboutperspective650 Afghanistan doesn’t represent Islam. No muslim majority country does. Islam is a universal religion. There is no place for oppression in Islam. Just because our culture doesn’t align with the west or the non-muslims, doesn’t mean that you can go ahead and judge all of us. Nobody gave you the authority to do so. The west has power, they push it on everyone, that is bullying and oppression. Let people mind their own business for once.
Afghanistan is a war torn country, all credit goes to you know who... they have come this far and finally gained freedom, they have always been in war and it's gonna take time for them to figure things out. Stop hating on them just because they won't embrace your blueprints. They are gonna make their own. So, chill out.
