- The news came to Jesus, please come fast.
Lazarus is sick and without Your help he will not last.
Mary and Martha watched their brother die
They waited for Jesus- He did not come.
And they wondered why.
The death watch was over; buried four days.
Somebody said He'll soon be here
The Lord's on His way.
Martha ran to Him and then she cried
Lord if You had been here- You could have healed him. He'd still be alive.
But You're four days late; and all hope is gone.
Lord we don't understand why You've waited so long."
But His way is God's way.
Not yours or mine
And isn't it great, when He's four days late- He's still on time!
Jesus said, "Martha, show Me the grave."
But she said, "Lord You don't understand- he's been there four days!""
The grave stone was rolled back.
Then Jesus cried, "Lazarus! Come forth!"
Then somebody said, "He's ALIVE! He's ALIVE!"
You may be fighting a battle of fear
You've cried to the Lord "I need You now!" But He has not appeared.
Friend don't be discouraged
He's still the same.
He'll soon be here, and He'll roll back the stone, and He'll call out your name!
When He's four days late and all hope is gone
Lord we don't understand why You've waited so long.
But His way is God's way it's not yours or mine

I just buried my brother and feel like Martha and Mary, but I trust Jesus knows what is good for my brother. His wish not my wish. Amen!
When i had cancer in2011 the doctors gave me 4 mths to live but I trusted the Lord and said that I would abide by His wish. Its 2020 now and still alive .Praise the Mighty Name of JESUS.

Yes, whatever we go through, Jesus knows our needs!!! He may not do just what we think He or want Him to do at that time. I have had to learn to wait. I have been chronically ill most of my adult life-Lupus. Many life and death incidents---God has always brought me through to raise my children-who are now adults with their own families!! My husband could not handle it. That was before I was really sick!! Thank God for Christian parents who helped in all ways to be there in all situations!!! Yes, He always shows up in so many ways. I have never had a need that He did not meet.

How beautiful! But something I've noticed is that many people don't realize that Mary also said Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died. In verse 32 of John Chapter 11. We only think it was Martha that said that. But the Bible indicates that Mary also said that. Read your Bible people. Be blessed!
