Hi Luke, It’s been over a year since I first came across your channel. Back then, I was preparing for the IELTS exam and lacked confidence. To improve, I started listening to your podcast regularly. What an incredible teacher you are! ❤ You’ve been enlightening hundreds of thousands of lives through your passion, including mine. I’m thrilled to share that I took the IELTS last week and scored a 7.0. Keep up the amazing work! ❤❤
Hello, Luke! I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for your work! I listen to your podcast with pleasure for about 2-4 hours a day. It really helps me improve my language skills. Thank you so much!

Hi Luke, thanks a lots, a funny and extremely useful episode! Understanding what double negatives mean will definitely help me avoid using them. ‘Eggcorn’ is a nice word. And I’m really looking forward to a World quiz with Stephen Devincenzi

speaking about "ain't no", I can't help but recall - "tell me tell me tell me, come on tell me the answer, well you maybe a lover, but you ain't no dancer"
One of those Beatles songs where I like the cover version (by Dana Fuchs) even more than the original. I know you’re never allowed to say that cover is better than original, but IMO it’s the highest praise a songwriter can receive when their song is so amazing that it can be performed by someone else and still be great - or even better:)
Hi Luke, I have a question, It's out of cultural differences, I was wondering don't people worry about their kids or even afraid of other drunk people on the street? I feel it's dangerous if a drunk person grab your arm or something and talk to you since they are not fully conscious of what they are doing?
I think people do worry about drunk people in the street to be honest, but usually it's not a problem. You don't come across drunk people that often, and usually they aren't a problem, but of course you do need to be aware of what's going on and avoid people who could be dangerous in any way.
Hello! Thanks for watching. I hope you found this episode useful!
