      +CJ'S AQUARIUMS thanks CJ it definately makes an impression compared to the reef crystals.

    I like HW salt. Always mixes clean and consistent. The Alk is to high for my system. I believe it's 9 at 1.025. I use Aquaforest reef salt for a lower Alk of 8 at 1.025 salinity 8.2-8.3 at 1.026. Mixes up in 10 minutes. HW salt is so much better than reef crystals. There is no comparison. Great Video.

      +SPS Dominant Yeah if your going for color and not growth you want your alk lower. you are correct 100%

      Depends too if you're carbon dosing. I would run 9 all day long if I weren't carbon dosing. Burns SPS tips and Euphillia slowly decline and Zoas can completely decline overnight.

    What size is that buck and what is the measurement? 35 gallons is exactly what I would need for my water changes :)

      Let me check for you

      It's a 2 gallon bucket with a line about 3/8 from the top. Just a little bellow the halfway point. You'll have to double check your salinity before adding to your tank.

    What parameters does this mix to for you?

    • @Coralust
      @Coralust  6 лет назад

      That depends on what salinity you mix it at. I haven't checked in awhile but I will need time I do a water change. I usual aim for 1.026

      At 1.026 78 degrees F I consistently test 11.2 kh does anyone have any baselines parameters?

    Definitely stealing your mixing container setup idea. I used 5 boxes of HW and parameters were really good but it did leave a residue and cake my mixing container just as bad if not worse than reef crystals but at least the parameters were good and consistent.

      +Pablo's Reef how long did you leave it mixing for before it left any residue. I don't like mixing salt until it's ready to use.

      Coralust Reef Solutions I would mix it and then have a small tunze powerhead keep it circulating for a week. I dont mix before the water change. I always have salt water ready in case of an emergency.
