Hey lovely friends! Today’s video is a fun one! It is a CHRISTMAS IN JULY | A LOOK THROUGH THE YEARS | CHRISTMAS PLANS FOR 2024. We take a look at my family room for the past 4 years to see how my style has evolved! I know it is the middle of the summer but is it really ever too early to think about Christmas? Christmas is my favorite holiday and am ready to start decorating my house. I've vowed this year that I am going to change over from fall and begin Christmas decorating for Christmas on November 1. We are seasonal campers in a campground, and I suggested one year to do Christmas in July. So, on July 5 we can begin decorating our sites and they are judged. But I love Christmas and I watch all the movies in July as well. I really enjoyed this walk down Christmas Tree decorating. I'd love to see the Kitchen /coffee bar Christmas decorating. I love the 2023 tree as well as the one with the traditional colors of Christmas. Great Video Dana!
I am by far a traditionalist when it comes to Xmas. 2023 tree knocked it out of the park. I watched all your videos from 2023 over and over again never tiring of them. I agree with some of your other viewers in that you get better over the years. Keep up the good work.
Oh I loved this video and remember watching you over the years! Like you, I loved last year’s the most. I remember your comment about “things going on around the world” and how they made you decorate even earlier, to help soothe the soul, so to speak. And I did the same.
I would NEVER skip over your videos, Dana! What a unique and fun idea for a video. It’s refreshing for a change. I could absolutely skip over summer. I don’t like hot, humid, cobwebs, bugs, and outdoor work. There’s something cozy about sitting in the living room watching the snow fall outside, and looking at either Christmas decor, or winter decor. Im sure all you summer people out there will call me crazy. Maybe I prefer winter because I was born in February? I like the Fall in Mi. There’s nothing more beautiful. Can’t wait to see what your style will be in 2024. Thank you for another awesome video.❤

I am with you on the Heat. It’s has been awful hot here, I do no not like summer. Give me fall early winter. I have been watching your channel for many years, but my favorite is 2023. I do not follow trends I do what makes me happy,and of course budget. And I live in an old 1880s home, so no closets nor basement. But love decorating for Christmas. Dana, I was ready to vote for year 2022 but as the years went by, every year was beautiful. We have a Balsam Hill tree also - they are the best! The black reindeer look like the ones I purchased from Pottery Barn - they are stunning. I use picks for the tree topper as well - it adds something different to the tree. I pretty much stay with the same tree decorations each year - I have enough tubs of ornaments - no room for any more. LOL. Would enjoy watching any other videos you would like to show us. Nice job!

Dana this was such a fun video. It was a surprise to see your daughter helping in the first one. I've often wondered if the girls help you with decorating. Although all the trees were pretty I have to say the traditional ones are by far my favorites. Last years was stunning and the one from 2022 just gorgeous. You have a real knack with trees.

That was a fun video. I remember each of those years. You have a nice touch. My favorite was 2021 as I love the neutrals and natural wood with greenery. 2023 was very pretty with that stunning tree and Miss Cova melted my heart with that precious head tilt in front of it. Such a pretty, sweet girl. Thank you for sharing. Your kitchen video will be fun too. If you are not too Christmased out, your dining room including the table is always lovely too.

Hello Dana. It is so interesting because as I passed over some of the comments, so many want to skip summer because it is too hot and I totally understand because many States are having constant temperatures into the 80's,90's plus. I can't be easy. However, I am in Canada and most of us can't wait for summer. The winters can be really cold. Last year we were fortunate that we didn't have it too bad but it is dark when we get up and dark when we get out of work. In the summer, the city and parks and restaurant terrasses are hopping! We love to be out and about. I thought this idea of taking us down memory lane was such a great idea and it was really fun to see how your style has changed from year to year. There was something in every year that was just so lovely. I liked 2021 but last Christmas, well that was the cherry on the sunday. It was so so beautiful. I am actually hoping you do it again. Trends come and go but traditional classic decor lives forever. You look better than ever Dana!! I think with your hair style and all, you look younger. 🎉🤗👍

I enjoyed seeing the different way you decorated the last four years, I also loved the 2023 decorations the best' You can do neutral the rest of the year but the traditional colors and decorations are the most beautiful. I love Christmas it is favorite time of the year also so it is not too early to watch your video.

OMG it was like listening to myself speak when you said you are not a spring/summer girl. Heat, mosquitoes and the "H" word - humidity! The only thing I like about Spring is planting containers of flowers and summer to maintain them. Right now in Massachusetts it's only 57 degrees this morning going up to 75. Quite cool for July. But I'll take it!

Dana all were beautiful but last year was my favorite the colors everything about it was beautiful. I am such a Christmas person as soon as July hits on qvc and the Christmas in July movies play I am all in, it was really a great video I really enjoyed it, my Christmas is very Vintage and it’s been that way I don’t like for me changing it but my decor around it I bring in new things especially from qvc but I have plenty, it just changes things up a bit. I would love to see the kitchen decor. ❤️❤️

Red is my neutral color, so liked every year except 2021. Although that year was of course decorated pretty. I just like the traditional colors.😊

It is 86 and humid in SE Michigan, I am thankful for my new furnace AC unit. I am definitely ready for Fall. I can’t wait to see what you do next! I love it.❤️

There was something in each Christmas year I loved. My all over favorite is 2021. The 2023 Balsam Hill Christmas was beautiful with the gorgeous tree and pretty advent village. My 2nd fave.

I thought all the years look great, but 2023 was my favorite. This was a fun video although I don’t like how fast the year is going.
Every year was beautiful…but my favorite would be the 2022 Mantle…STUNNING! You always have the most beautifully decorated entry spaces…maybe you could showcase those for Christmas in July?!? One other request…you always have fantastic themed clothing for your Fall, Coffee Bar and Christmas videos…could you link those for us? I’ve heard you say oh this is from Amazon and then when I look there’s a lot of vendors selling the same item so I’m not so sure which one (quality varies between vendors)…thank you!

Not sure where you live. I’m in Wisconsin. I totally get the heat and humidity and bugs. They’re terrible right now but the long cold winters are terrible too. If all could just go from August all the way through February I’d be happy but no we get last year wasn’t too bad, but we usually get pretty bad winters here.

I like 2023, except for me too many ornaments on the tree .. to me when it’s fine that way you are hiding the beauty of the tree itself .. I like the reds in Christmas. Mine decor is from a sign I had .. that read .. Where treetops glisten ( also from White Christmas) .. so my garlands have a glistening affect not the super snow frocked type) . If I remember correctly I think you did a ‘nature’ tree in your entryway , I think last year .. and it’s nice for the entry .. i can’t see me doing neutral naturals for 2024.. plenty of that outside and all winter along .. lol😂 (imo) I think I like the simple and elegant .. not overdone .. I know whatever you go with Dana will be beautiful because you style it greatly . I remember one year seems like everyone was buy the super snow frocked trees.. just not me. This was a very nice Christmas in July Video, while I am sitting in the sun next to the pool.. I do like summer as well , positive side , no jackets , boots , no winter hats , no shoveling , .. spring is rebirth when everything comes alive, summer is beaches and outside dinners,bbq’s, s’mores .. fall is sweater weather, colors come alive on the trees, fire pits, s’mores autumn scents and Christmas.. hope .. birth of our Savior , Christmas hustle and bustle , Christmas music and the smell of a fresh cut Christmas tree ..smells jump the room .. ( we get a real tree .. no offense ) don’t mind the pine needles.. I think we had Douglas fir and very little needles .
