- Bagmati Express Accident: Anant Madhukar Chowdhary, Railway Safety Commissioner for the Southern Circle, announced an investigation into the Mysuru-Darbhanga Express and goods train collision in Tamil Nadu. "I have come here to investigate... I have to first check the site, take statements from various people, and then come to a conclusion," Chowdhary stated. He added that the inquiry will begin next week.
