Throughout 9-28-24, looters took to the raised river banks in Asheville, looking for prescription narcotics, firearms, and valuable items within the debris. This is becoming more and more of an issue in the area as local law enforcement is extremely overwhelmed.
The rightful owners when able are going to make an effort to salvage what they can from the wreckage of their homes and businesses. Looters are thieves

COME ON MAN looters good lord most of you all are prob to young to remember the days where you could leave your wallet sitting on a bench and either would still be their or someone would bring it to you a HANDSHAKE was enough to seal a deal or the fact that a neighbor would help with anything you were doing in the yard or building god how i miss those days

Are they Looting to Get Food for Their Loved Ones? - What's the name that a restaurant shown at 3:08? - NOT saying it's right, but, if they are without drinking water, they may last only 2 to 3 days at the most. 60% of water is obtain from food. They could live beyond 3 days without food, but, not without WATER.🌍🌎🌏🌐Clean, Drinkable Water.

In the aftermath of Helene, benefit from my misfortune and do not compound your problems: beware of an outfit called “Samaritan’s Purse’. These people showed up in my neighborhood in NJ after Superstorm Sandy offering to help. I was away at the time and my wife let them in. The end result was over $10,000 in property stolen over a couple day period. SP disclaimed any liability and said they really didn’t do any background on their volunteers and didn’t even have records of who they were. So proceed accordingly

Oh my Goodness, so very tragic seeing and hearing the pictures of homes destroyed, vehicles washed away, roads and bridges gone but worst of all, the loss of lives. Sending prayers and lots of love to everyone going through this. Stay strong and i pray you will find your loved ones. 🙏🏼💕

Lot of drugs, and drug rehab centers in Asheville. They'll be looking for opportunities everywhere to pay for the next fix. It's a shame what downtown Asheville has become over the years. Kind of a hippie, drug induced, woke culture anymore. Hopefully they take this opportunity and clean it up and make it the great city it once was years ago.

Yeah well when the biggest grocery chains have buildings full of supplies like water and power and local officials have been caught with their pants down "looting" may be the only way to get supplies. People aren't out here stealing flat screen TVs.
