The hearing one thing and coming up with your own interpretation is the part that gets me. It’s like talking to someone that doesn’t understand what your saying. It’s hard to move forward with this type of behavior.
I think the statement “black women aren’t trained for marriage” is exactly the same as saying “black men aren’t trained to be a husband”. To compare the black woman/man to any other race as it relates to relationships and marriage leaves the black woman/man at a disadvantage. Slavery set the involuntary measure for the black community as it relates to black love. So please let’s stop comparing your black sisters and brothers to others. What we should talk about is how to love and respect one another through our trauma. Our trauma being many black families are raised by single black women who also grew up with an absent father. Do you see where I’m going with this? It’s challenging (not impossible) for many people during their adolescence to comprehend how things should be without an example. But as we mature and hopefully have learned more about life and ourselves we should now want something different. Black men should want to be a better man for themselves and their families and the black woman should want to respect the black man/father that is caring for their family.

Very helpful convo for our community.
Our women are raised to be wives. Today they are just hard to meet.
But both of us need to work on ourselves as husband's and wives 🙏
I totally agree with the sista💯💪🏾
