Your hair looks cute, good for you. I just chopped mine off after growing it out the whole COVID pandemic because the closed down all the barbershops. Now I'm 360 wavin
Crazy journey! Is there a particular product you like to use for putting in two strand twists? I have 3C hair and I’m thinking that’s what I’ll do to hide my undercut for a while. I’m only 2 weeks in 😤
It’s so crazy because I gave myself an undercut because I liked the way it looked on you and then boom you started growing your sides. Now my undercut is def low in the back but I have a tapered hairline and above beard lineup is gone too. I kinda like the look but I do miss the possibility of having the full head of hair rather though it does get full. I think I need to wait till my hair is longer because the cut does allow me to have a more defined hairline and still shape up my beard yet having a clean look on top…hmm we’ll see
I've been growing my sides out since November of last year. I got to wait another three months to even start the starter locing process on my undercut 😂.
its best to start with a taper, like a low or a mid. when i cut my dread i was with a high fade (lmfao they fucked me up) but idk how my side went back so fast to a low taper, now im on full head 4b with a possibility of curls (Yeah i love myself) 6 cornrows i feel like nipsey hussle Yeah i love me Yeah, i love me so much Yeah
Hey, I recently got a low taper fade a week ago and I got my sides trimmed just a lil due to split ends. I feel like my sides are growing slow. Any tips?
So I have a drop fade but i want a low taper. my hair abt 4 inch long rn and I can't decide if I should just restart or grow out my undercut, what should i do.... PS my hair is prolly damaged since I started taking care of it pretty late into my journey. I did things like dry detangling and my afro hair getting on my nerves lol😭
i'm assuming its should be the same process for growing out your front taper but I feel like my front taper growing mad slow compared to my sides, is that normal? or am i just not taking good enough care of my hair?
I cut my locs nd asked for a low taper . My barber messed me up he gave me a low taper on the right side and a sort of mid taper on the left side so I gotta grow the left side out lol. Hopefully it figure itself out by the 1 year mark lmaooo
I'm late idk if you will respond but I got a hightop and im growing my sides what do i do when my sides are long enough for a low taper LMFAO n do i need to have my hair in braids or out when i get it cut. im not educated at all 😂
Bro please tell me what you did to deal with the pain when you did your first protective style. I did Pop Smoke braids after growing out my high top for like 5 months and my scalp literally feels like it’s bleeding rn
I’m currently growing my sides out, about 4 months in If I get straight back cornrows would my braider be able to mix in the long hair with the short hair?
I'd say wait another month. If you get it too early the short hair will loosen from the braid and the style will look 100% worse. Trust me speaking from experience.
when i was growing it, i just grew everything (no cut) then when i got braids for the first time I had my braider part off the hair that I wanted cut off. then I got a high taper
I start growing my beard about 4 months ago, I have one side that’s not fully connected.. the other is just about connected but not as thick as the other side, should I use minoxidil or give it 6-8 months or start minoxidil now ?
Rub the garlic in the place of the blanks in your beard for a month and your beard will grow. You can Google the benefits of garlic for hair growth, try it and let me know in a month. You can also consume zinc pills. The recommended daily dose is 11 mg will also help.
nah but I will say your journey will be harder than mine. You don't have the long hair to cover it. I t's only cause of my longer hair that made this journey remotely easy. If I was in ur shoes I would just even it out - sucks but at least you got the experience so hair growth wont seem super long. Or cut your long hair down to like 3-4months so you don't have to be in the scruffy stage for so long.
Never cut my sides to begin with 😂 I never liked the look of fades they always look like toupees to me. It looks like someone plopped hair on top of your head instead of it naturally growing in all directions
Honestly I feel like its best to start growing your hair with the sides, that way as it gets longer you can decide whether or you want to cut it
I agree
@@TarikLaRoda so when my hair gets long enough to braid, should I get it braided first then get a cut or get a cut first then get it braided?
@@OnlyJamari always braid first and then cut
@@TarikLaRodacan u get ah lining while your side grow or it’s not gone grow with ah lining from your barber?
Gonna be SO MUCH easier to style/hide now that it’s longer. I’m growing out the undercut too and hiding it the same way you are. Keep it up bro 💪🏽
Exactly!!

And he’s right.. 6 months was when I started to flat twists my hair down but I mainly wear my hair out 😅 I just love my kinky springy s curls
It's my first time seeing any of your videos and you sound so Bahamian! I hope you are!

3rd year hair journey question mark????

Its almost a year and in still struggling with the side
when is the big chop coming gang? did mines after growing out the sides for 14 months
Not for a WHILEEEE Bro.
Almost at month 5 and I feel like I got no progress 😭 my hair long but thin so it doesn’t really cover my sides unless it’s a twist out. Any tips?

Your braider is either braiding too tight or your hair is really short
@@slygottagun846 it was most definitely too short at the time🤣my sides got a bit longer so it doesn’t hurt anymore thank God
I’m currently growing my sides out, about 4 months in

WHAT U CALL THE BRAIDS U GOT
been trying to grow my sides since november and they’ve barely changed 😔 too long to look like a fade but too short to be motivating progress
If you look at my undercut update video for 3 months I had the same problem. looked like I was seeing no progress but just stick to it
Bro handsome asl no diddy
Yo when you got medium length twists should i sleep with durag or bonnet, cos when I sleep with durag my ends get frizzy
I use a durag for like the first couple days, then I use a bonnet. I experience the same thing
i started with a tapered not undercut, now I started to grow out my taper. I am going to try this with a longer style like side cornrows on my taper.
What cut did you start getting when you were growing it all out?? Did you keep the high taper?
when i was growing it, i just grew everything (no cut) then when i got braids for the first time I had my braider part off the hair that I wanted cut off. then I got a high taper
I didn't hide. I just didn't care 😂. It's grown out and maybe this summer that undercut can get close to touching my shoulders.
Bro I'm almost 11 months in

whats ur hair type
Skytop of doom
Hey Tarik, just wanted to know what’s the point of growing an undercut when your hair is already that long
He said it in the video, it’s so when he does cornrows, it drops a lot lower
So what is your current hair style called ? What can I ask my barber ?
Low taper fade
hate to be that guy but… imagine if ninja got a low taper fade
It's a high taper in the front. With a very low taper in the back (like an inch)
I’m 7 months into my hair growth journey, is it too late to start growing out my undercut?
No
Brother he is 4 years into growing his hair, you'll be finr
