He can't go against his adoptive father the king, so he agrees knowing her intentions to marry him. Also, he thinks that she betrayed him and let him fall off a cliff (backstory before he gets adopted, he is the wolfguy she loves. But she drives him away by saying mean stuff to him). So, he is just acting like this(still, he goes a little too far). The lady he calls to spend the night, is just to get the FL jealous. After FL leaves, he just leaves and tells the people to send the dancer back to where she came from. Also, FL doesn't want to be with ML at the start here even though they are betrothed to each other, because she is in love with wolfboy, though she doesn't seem to figure out that the ML is wolfboy(because drama has to go on). So, she is pining for love from wolfboy who she thinks died by falling off the cliff(she pushed him away by saying all kinds of stuff to him so that he hates her), but she still hopes he's alive. All in all, the ending of this drama sucks, but it's still a good drama.
It's ironic because that's exactly what LB was trying to do - make her run away from him by showing her his worst (even though he was only pretending). But, what did she do after? She apologized and told him they can go ahead and consummate. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Guys, watch the whole drama. She asks to marry him for her region/army (her own benefit) in front of the king and he knows that. He just goes along with it. Also, he thinks that she left him to die (falloff a cliff) before, that's why he acts like that (not saying that was right of him though). In this scene, all that talk and calling her dumb and what not is to see whether she will reveal her true intentions. Also the girl he calls to have fun with is just to get the female lead jealous. As soon as she leaves thinking he's the bad guy, he leaves too saying send the girl back to where she came from and the people are confused as to why he called the girl then in the first place. 😅 The female lead, if you watch further episodes, you see her breaking his heart a couple times more, she also marries someone else while knowing that the wolf guy is facing death for saving her on the battlefield ( he is ordered by his adoptive dad the king to kill her and the army she is leading; he just goes to the battlefield and just stands there to sacrifice himself so that she can live. Meanwhile, the FL runs all the way into battle to try to kill him off (even after seeing him get shot by multiple arrows), then gets caught by soldiers as they try to kill her, so he has to save her while battling his own soldiers as well as her army🤣. So he basically goes against the king to save her. He saves her multiple times throughout the drama, getting stabbed by knives, arrows while trying to save her. She has loved him all along but doesn't say it often and tries to drive him away, then gets sad when he listens to her. Even after knowing everything that he's done for her, she hesitates to go see him as he is too wounded, as she is too ashamed that she married someone else. Her husband has to literally push her towards the ML 🙃. Also, he ends up alone after she dies (because cdrama where villains get a happy ending but God forbid the good people end up being happy).
Let's hope we no longer get to see toxic relationships like this again. Let's get healthy, independent and capable male leads. None of this fragile masculinity types.
There's not an ounce of masculinity in men who hurt women or anyone. Men who have insecurities and hurt people or act up are lacking masculinity. Criminals or men without honour have no masculinity. Also, lacking chivalry and manners is a problem with lacking masculinity as well. Anyone who attacks masculinity hurts young boys mostly but it's not okay to attack any man. Masculinity is GOOD. It is sexist to say otherwise as well. Has anyone called out toxic or fragile femininity ? That's a double standard. Attacking men's masculinity is sexist ignorant and bitter. The guy in the drama is a drunken tyrant. Even thinking about masculinity when trying to size him up is honestly is weird and unrelated to what he did. If anything, like I said he severely lacks it. Whatever the media told you masculine and masculinity is, it's not true; they're good not bad. sexism is bad. Including to men. This really needs to stop being a trope in Chinese dramas. Like, what the fuck. Why the hell are there always very rapey scenes, and then the man is so “honorable“ to stop assaulting his partner. This really needs to stop.
