A brand new collaboration featuring two world class virtuosos, a meeting of harp and kora. Leading classical harpist Catrin Finch and inspired kora player Seckou Keita combine forces to explore the traditions of Wales and Senegal. Both nations share a centuries old bardic-griot tradition of intricate oral history expressed through music, song and verse. The harp and the kora, instruments from the same family, occupy a vital place in these rich cultures. Catrin and Seckou dig deep into Manding and Celtic roots whilst adding a fresh sound of their own. This is something special!
Cydweithrediad newydd sbon rhwng dau bencampwr o'r radd flaenaf, cyfarfod y Delyn a'r Kora. Mae'r delynores glasurol Catrin Finch a'r chwaraewr kora ysbrydoledig Seckou Keita yn cyfuno i archwilio traddodiadau Cymru a Senegal. Mae'r ddwy wlad yn rhannu traddodiad canrifoedd barddonol-griot o hanes llafar wedi ei fynegi trwy gerddoriaeth, cân a phennill. Mae'r delyn a'r kora yn dod o'r un teulu ac mae ganddynt yr un safle hanfodol yn y diwylliannau cyfoethog hyn. Mae Catrin a Seckou yn cloddio'n ddwfn i wreiddiau Manding a Cheltaidd wrth ychwanegu sain ffres eu hunain. Dyma i chi rhywbeth arbennig.
Here is how music transcends countries, culture, language, colour, race and time..
It's taken 6 years for me to find this, belated thanks for sharing, blissful.
Sheer brilliance. If all musicians from all over met to play together, there would be peace on earth. Really magical sound. Thanks Seckou and Catrin.
I suspect that even if all the musicians met and played together, the non-musicians could still be violent or fraudulent, just with a good musical background.
Divine music, these two fantastic musicians play like angels.
totally agree :)
So so beautiful, meaningful and I feel the pain I held inside just flowing out of my toes. Thank you. X
Such good chemistry between ❤
Rarely does a song resonate so closely with the soul as it does here. The smiles on Catrin and Seckou's faces are a delight to see as they're immersed in the chemistry of sublime music making. : )
C'est magnifique ! j'aime voir la connivence musicale qui s'actualise dans les regards

Saw them a few nights ago at St Georges in Bristol, mesmerising.....music transcends, breaks barriers, boundaries and frontiers. Wonderful.
I really feel the ocean !!!Wow ..goose pumps !!!thank you so much !!!!!
Missed these 2 at St George's in Bristol 3 years ago but caught up with them at last at the Acapela Studios near Cardiff last month after watching many times on You Tube. Beautiful, mesmerising, unforgettable. Maybe when their new album is completed they will perform again in Bristol.
These guys weave healing magic through the air ✨
Wow, love this.... Interesting pairing of instruments and so melodic & enchanting!
Music which really let me dream from a real better world we have to bear currently. Very virtuos. Exciting unusual kora-harp with two necks 🎵
You can hear light dancing through leaves of the trees and hear a small
Boat bobbing on clear ocean as a man dives down among the coral and fish for dinner, you can hear the ancient humans walk out of africa to the rest of the world, You can hear a girl in the wind in a field of barley, you can hear the flow of water down a mountain stream, you can hear all the good and kind things in this world. Joy
wow finally my dream come true .... i have always wanted such meeting between Kora & Harp .
although my suggestion was ( Toumani Diabaté - Edmar Castañeda) love it >
Incredibly beautiful
So awesome and so emotional as well
These two will be together in concert in Norway in July, then Germany and Shrewsbury in UK in late August. I'm really looking forward to seeing Seckou Keita at the Wyeside centre, Builth Wells on 15th May as part of his little Welsh tour.
