Im from denmark, and i know why one of the Laudrups were removed, one of the brothers quit the national football team in 1992 right before we won the the eu championship for the first time, the reason he left was because he didn't like the coach, but the other brother stuck with the team, and helped them win in the final against germany :)

i think the most interresting thing to look at when thinking about possible future icons would be the classic XI... they did bring in 3 of the players from that squad with koeman sanchez and carlos alberto in fifa 20 so theres a good chance that they will add even more of them to the game (Zico, Cantona,Papin.....)

The reason Brian laudrup isn’t in fifa anymore is because fifa thought it was confusing with to laudrup icons

Beckenbauer has a 93 Mid icon rating this is insane so his prime would be 95 or 96 in Fifa 20
he a top 5-6 player ever, but better than cryuff, Zidane level, prime about 96, (i think cryuff prime should be 96 and r9 95 , he a bit lower than maradona pele level
They removed ladrup due to the complaints and confusion towards EA and to make it easier for everyone they only kept one the same thing happened with the bender brothers on how they changed one of the brothers positions

It’s a shame that four time World Champion Germany has relatively few icons in FIFA 20, compared to e.g. Netherlands (no front to all Dutchie’s, you had great players ngl) that won a lot less big trophies. Kahn, Lahm, Gerd Müller, Beckenbauer, Sepp Maier, Brehme, etc.

Hmm I think a lot of the icons that were removed before fifa 18 would have very different cards if they where added to fifa now because of the 3 card icon system and because most icons have a base prime rating of 91 it would be interesting to see how they would look now, could imagine some of the discard ones on the list would be very usable

One of the reasons why the one laudrup brother didn’t make it was not because of his talent it was because he wasn’t mentally strong enough so he stopped his career at a young ages and actually he’s was a better than the one brother that made it just not mentally strong.
Valdderama (the Colombian) even tho his fifa card is trash I wish it was better cuz in real life he was a BEAST. He was soooo good for Colombia and he should have better stats and rating. Also the creator of the scorpion (higuita) I’m so surprised he is not even an icon. In my vision he is one of the best/underrated goalkeeper of all time. As a goalie I think he scored over 65 goals in his career and was the penalty and free kick taker in his team.

How likely are you able to get icon cards without spending loads of real money? Had FIFA for years now and wanted to play with icons but never had the chance because I can never build up anywhere near enough coins for even one of them
A lot are going for under 100k. I managed to get 93 Van Basten on FIFA 18 for a cool 1.2 million coins and he was worth every single coin. Now you can get his base for like 90k and he is an absolute god just like he was irl ❤

Some of these don't really make sense to remove, Beckenbauer won he ballon dor, Neville won a triple and like 5 titles, Seaman is widely regarded as one of the best prem keepers, and Weah also won the ballon dor if I recall correctly. These EA bums are stupid.
