    Doordash is dead. Lucky to make 500/month with how low volume is in California.
    Rates are too high
    Orders are at its lowest
    Better to get a job or start your own business

    Our house & cars are paid for, as is my Harley-Davidson that I hardly ride now - at 62, my wife feels it is not safe for me... We get DD pay on Monday, not sure what "Fast Pay" is. We do Door Dash if I get off my W-2 early. For us, Dashing is a Road Trip, we have fun, help people that show Gratitude, & make some money. Being 62, & living in Sacramento, CA, we end at sunset. Safety First. Love your videos :-) Thank you for them.

      fast pay is you get paid after every one of your shifts but the only option is for them to deposit it on a pre paid card they give you. Also once you choose fast pay you automatically get paid after every shift. You cant control at all if you want to get paid instantly or not and you dont get to choose for it to go to your bank account. I dont use it for those reasons I dont want all of my earnings going on a door dash card. I also drive for GH and their instant pay out is all in your hands. I get to choose if I want to cash out after my shift or save it for another day. It also gets deposited directly to my checking account

      I like your vibe! I take the same attitude to this delivery thing... I tell my fellow drivers, treat the numbers like a business and the job like a pass time.
      Somebody wants to pay me 5x my cost to drive down Skyline Blvd on an evening? When then sun is setting over the Sierras? All those twisty-windy curves and beautiful houses with gorgeous landscaping and that backward view over the entire city... okay, sign me up!

      If only I did get paid five times the cost of the delivery

    • @ericwolfe8119
      @ericwolfe8119 7 месяцев назад +1

      @tammybemis5983
      5x cost is $2 per mile. That's $10 for a 5 mile delivery. That's not rare... not difficult to catch.
      People act like catching those orders is like catching a genie in a bottle... it really isn't. Just wait, maybe switch platforms. Become content not catching.
      "If only..." you say. To that I say, "if only you weren't on active time for a 1.5x order constantly, you'd be available to catch the 5x order...".

      Hello fellow dashers! Is anyone aware how to associate an EIN with your Dasher/Dasher Direct account if one's account has been active months before registering it. My case is specific to one registered as a Sole Proprietorship associated with My name and SSN currently with no DBA.
      Mr. Koup, I emailed you about this, but I'm sure your inbox fills fast.
      I am not asking for Tax advice, just thought someone may have stepped through that process.
      Thank you for any replies or even a pointer to a best resource. Dasher support answers this question with the boilerplate about not being able to provide Tax advice. And the tax advisors on the Hotline through Avibra have no information to give.
      Best wishes to all on the platform.

      Some places you go to for loans will not accept gig work as income. He's saying we can use statements from Doordash to get around this like a real direct deposit job.
      I can personally attest that some loan places will only accept gig work as additional income. I've asked. 😂

    Trying to get a mortgage loan with door dash they won’t accept earning statements. However once you file your taxes you can verify this way as long as you made 5,000$ or more.

    Doordash is not a real job until people like me who have been doing it 3+ years can make more than $10,000/year.
    70% don't tip & $2 jobs with 100% approval, acceptance rates, & on time deliveries get you no where, & if you decline ANY jobs your immediately in the back of the queue.
    Only major markets allow you to be picky. They MUST ad a 15% gratuity on all orders & a minimum hourly wage while logged in (not on the job). Then the pay would be $30,000/ year & I could actually live.

    If they're verifying your income, they don't need your full bank statements. They just need a letter from your financial institution listing your deposits and you can contact your bank or CU to have them send you that information. I'd never provide my entire bank statement to a stranger.

    That's nice, it's helpful but do you know what else would be helpful???? If Doordash made sure drivers are making a living wage because I'm not and I'm a good Dasher. It's not right and next year when dashers claim their .67 cents a mile the government is going to see we drove for .55 cents a mile and it's going to be an issue, trust me!

    • @DoordashDiaries
      @DoordashDiaries  7 месяцев назад +3

      Yea we not here for all that. This isn’t a sounding board for the same ol complaints. Find an opportunity that pays you a living wage. Thanks and best wishes.

      Just find another job. You shouldn’t expect to make a living wage doing food delivery lmao

    • @mickeyc2137
      @mickeyc2137 7 месяцев назад

      I make a living wage doing it maybe you are taking too many low pay orders? You can reject a lot you dont have to take anything first of all. Second, the mileage rate is 67 cents it doesnt matter how much you make you deduct 67 a mile the gov cant "change" that the mileage deduction has nothing to do with how much you made. It doesnt matter what your dollar per mileage ratio is. Its you deduct 67 cents per mile. That 67 cents per mile also is a deduction for the amount of money you spend on maintenance for your car (oil changes, brakes, tires) not just on the gas that you spend. Also gas rates are different throughout the country anyway. Again, it doesnt change they don't judge how much money you made per miles driven

    • @chigrashark5592
      @chigrashark5592 7 месяцев назад

      My point is they will see it's contributing to the overall rise in poverty. They see what we make and how many miles we drove when we file taxes. I enjoy dashing and last year it was great. In December it got slow, now it's slow with repeated seriously upside down orders like $3.00 to drive 14 miles. In Louisville people are already broke, to expect dashers to deliver food for free is unacceptable.

    • @roycantrall7766
      @roycantrall7766 7 месяцев назад

      I also Dash in Louisville. I generally haunt the Highlands and Churchill Downs areas. The pay is very inconsistent. I like to keep my acceptance rate in the 80's so I turn down a lot of smaller orders or orders that take me way out of my zone. I have been Dashing for about 14 months and made $14k last year Dashing about four hours a day 5 or 6 days a week. I am 73, retired and use the money to pay for my hobby, flying.

    all my deposits go into my business account at my bank. I actually have a business license and run all apps deposits to my business bank account. W-2 workers need to go back to w-2 working and leave delivery to people who are accustomed to being self employed.

    This is great I wish this was on it a month ago lol. The last several weeks I've been looking for a new apartment and I did screen shot my last several weeks of my grub hub and door dash earnings but my name wasn't on the top of the earnings statements so they could say "how do I know that's yours?" Luckily I did find a privately owned apartment that didn't care about that because all of the complexes were giving me a hard time and some were asking for my bank statements and I was not cool with that for the reasons you said

    I know that UE has a 24hr tip window.
    I just received a $4 bump on a $5 tip 2days later.
    Was it a glitch in the UE system?
    Was it on hold for some reason?
    Did the customer have a sober enlightenment and decide to increase the tip? 🤷

    Hi Bentley! So I am new to your channel as well as DD…
    I would love to see a video from you discussing your personal opinion/ professional opinion re: establishing a business entity to better make income with DD. Would you recommend DDers operate as an independent contractor (sole proprietor)? LLC?
    Any tips in this area???
    Thank you in advance!
