I really love your channel bro, from the simplicity, the links, the added information, to the tips and the explanation on how to use accessories. You’re really a huge help, as someone like me who’s now trying their hand at grilling. You’re really elite man. Keep it up, your content is immaculate!
I love that stand you have for the charcoal starter, i dont know how many thousand bbq videos ive watched over the years, never seen one like that. Apart from that great video man.:)
I use the paper from my empty bags of Kingsford blue charcoal to start the burn in my chimney starter. Almost any paper will do though. Just separate the sheets and lightly crumple providing maximum surface area. No need to waste money on commercial fire starters.
I love your channel!!! watched many of your videos today and learned a lot of great techniques, thank you and keep it up, I will continue to follow...good content💪🏻
Glad to see you do smash burgers in the kettle. I'm going to mention pickels are to me what runny eggs are to Dash ( we will see if Dash sees this after he already did his comments) . But everything else looked great ( I prefer mayonnaise over miracle whip nowadays, but I can go either way) Johnny, have a great day 🌤 😀 🍔🍻
@@Viewtoagrill Yes . . . I decided on the Performer, can't wait to get it and the fold down table is the reason I went with it. In the meantime I'm watching your videos.
Great Video Johnny ! Couple questions, do you pre-heat the iron before you smash? And do you spray any non-stick on the smash iron before you smash? Thanks again for a view to your grill !
Hello Ac. I do not pre-heat the iron before use. Sometimes I spray with a little oil… sometimes I don’t. It does work a little better if you spray it with oil first
Hey great video! After the first flip and you add the cheese, should I grill the patty for another 45 seconds? Or how long would you recommend. I’m new to smashburgers on the webber.
Thank you, I just started watching your channel last week, and I have learned so much. I used to look at grilling as a chore, but trying everything you suggest has made it fun again; almost a hobby in such a short time. Thank you, keep up the great videos, they help!
Hey Johnny, I need some help with my sear pan. I ordered the sear pan you suggested, and it was delivered in the rain, and was left out on my porch. When I opened it, was rusted. Can I restore it by watching a regular cast iron pan video? Also, on the videos, it oils up the pans, and then throw them in the oven at 500 degrees for an hour. I'd rather not do it like that, it's been extremely hot where I am. Can I heat in the Weber kettle I stead? How would you restore this pan?
Wow! The rain is the worst. Here is what I did when I accidentally left mine in the rain. I used my orbit sander to sand off all the rust. Fire up your kettle and spread one chimeny on the entire bottom grate. Place the sear plate on the top grate, get some canola oil spray and spray it down.. then wipe it down... and repeat until the sear plate is black.,, probably 3...4 ... 5 times. Have a cold beer in close by... it is going to get hot. Remember to clean the sear plate and spray it with oil after every use, you can store it in the closed kettle with both vents closed... should be fine if you remember to spray it first.
@@Viewtoagrill Hi Johnny, sorry for the late response. I did 2 cycles on Saturday in the kettle, and it looked a lot better. Right now, I'm doing another cycle. Looks to be working, thank you. First time dealing with cast iron pans. Also, I made the grilled chicken from your "Best darn chicken" video. Not to the exact point, but it was good! I'm sure yours is a lot better!

Hello J Har. Thanks I do appreciate that. I try to show all the important parts of the cook and throw in a few tips. Take care!
Smashburgers are a favorite of mine! In fact, I want a blackstone just to make them! I love that brand of bun too!
I had camp chef for a while and I did like it… I just don’t have the room for it.
I love me some smash burgers! It’s my secret family weapon because my kids think I’m a great cook when I make these. Little do they know!
You are a great cook when you make these!
Lodge cast has a 14"' pizza pan that fits the 22' weber kettle perfect.
Awesome!
Thx! I've used a large Lodge fry pan which worked. I think the pizza pan is worth trying- more versatile.

My dad made those for me… it is probably get the more comments on the stands than anything else. Thanks 🙏

Bravo Johnny Rondo. 16 tried and 16 died all by the hands of Johnny Rondo. Nice looking burger.
Thanks Daniel.
Great channel thanks bro
Hello Brian. Much appreciated
Great cook as usual! Where did you get the stands for your chimney starter?
Hey Paul. My dad made those stands for me.
Never had a smash burger...need to put this on the to do list. This burger looks 😋🤤
Oh, you're missing out, Jaberou!
Definitely put it on the list.

Hello Victor. I think Dash likes miracle whip. If he doesn’t he should!
Great video! I've never had a Smashburger but it's going to be the first thing I cook on the Weber Performer, once I get it. 🍔😋
Oh awesome! Did you finally pull the trigger on a Weber Performer?!?! The table is a must have to make it more enjoyable.

Hey Mike!
Try Thousand Island Dressing for your burger sauce.
I’ll try it… what brand?
Hey great video! After the first flip and you add the cheese, should I grill the patty for another 45 seconds? Or how long would you recommend. I’m new to smashburgers on the webber.
Really it is as long as it takes for you to get the cheese on and stacked. That may take 30 to 45 seconds.
So when are we going to start seeing some Merch Johnny?
Hey BigStu. I just added a link for that T-shirt… I think it displays above the description.
Do you prefer the sns or killagrilla grates?
I like the Killa Grilla grill grates better because they are made with thicker metal.
Hi Johnny!
Hello MrMnmn911.
You d I d those burgers right Johnny.i love a nice cheesey burger.
Hey Ron. Simple and good!
What were you using to flip the smash burgers? Looks like a drywall knife.
These work great because they are wide and flat. amzn.to/3aHb5o2
I don't have the cast iron grates, I do have the sear plate though, will this still work as it does on the video?
Absolutely as long as you have a sear plate just set that right over your normal grades and this should work out perfectly. Thanks for watching
