This is why record labels and a captive distribution system need to be disrupted. Because I never heard this when I needed to. They were shipping me Boston and Chicago BS nonsense
@@SuperSuperDuperNice yes,but rock music is dead now. it used to be a lifestyle that ruled your world, now its just another distraction. There is no culture. if you're not old enough to remember and you've done no research please don't reply "its still the same". You have no idea.
don't blindly believe everything you read. nobody knows the actual truth. it's just accusations at this point. i do believe he's gay though. but come on, the whole drummer story is just stupid. also the guy wasn't underage or anything, even if it was true.
@@William_Long notice how in every love song or song about it, he carefully avoided ever saying "she" or "he". In fact, it's kinda weird how much he avoids it. then there is also alot of singing about alienation, not fitting in, which could in some cases be interpreted that way of someone having to hide his "desires" or being made an outsider because of it. also with all that in mind some songs do make alot of sense, but those accusations in that book are dumb. it just says he hit on some drummer guy, who was younger, but not underage.
@@kabukimanindahouse I noticed it too, but my first thought was that he wrote it like that specifically so that the listener can fill in the gaps themselves, and then his alienation lyrics could be aimed at people around him; depressed people of Portland. Although you could be totally right
There's a reason I own two original pressings of this 7". It's a masterpiece.
Excellent , all. Thank you.

@@koezkoez1939 Rock may be dead, in your head. Me and soo many others disagree. Rock N Roll is a state of mind, that will never die.

So what... he's here now.
Most of their stuff was oop in the early 90s...now beautiful reissues are everywhere
so many of Sage's songs make more sense (and are that much sadder) after reading that Mark Lanegan book

@@kabukimanindahouse and the groomer accusations, I don't buy it. Personally, I wouldn't take Lanegans word for it
Isn't it weird that this album cover mirrors the Breakdown demo from 87? It might have been unintentionally done, but I do see a tribute.
Tnx bro !!!
