Gir Cow A2 Bilona Ghee making process:
Ahinsak Hand Milking:
We extract A2 milk from our Gir Cows using the ancient Indian practice of “dohan”. According to the Veda’s, “dohan” literally means letting the calf feed to its satisfaction from two “anchals”, while the remaining two are used to obtain milk for our consumption.
Made from Curd, not Cream:
After boiling the milk, we set it into rich wholesome curd overnight in an earthen pot. About 30 litres of A2 milk is required to produce 1 litre of A2 Ghee.
Traditionally Wood Churned:
The curd is hand churned using a bi-directional wooden churner also called as bilona to produce delicious makkhan.
Slow Cooked on Cow Dung Cakes:
This makkhan is then slow cooked in earthen pots over lighted cow dung cakes for about 2 hours to produce the golden nectare called Ghee.
Packaged in Glass Jars:
We purposely package our A2 Ghee in glass jars so that it doesn’t get contaminated as it would in plastic jars.

According to Atharva Veda, ghee's use strengthens the body and enhances life span. Vedas call ghee 'the first and most essential of all foods'. There are prayers in Rigveda and Atharva Veda seeking that God may provide us with so much ghee that our houses are always full of this most nutritious food.

Thank you for showing the entire process and seems all the hygienic practices are used to prepare the ghee. Just one suggestion I have is since a machine is used to churn the curd to get butter, using Hand churned on the label could be misleading. All the best team.

Do you source milk from outside or it is inhouse from your farms? How to do authenticate the purity of your A2 Ghee...Any Certificate obtained for it.
