- Ambriel returns once again to capture Hibiki's sphere. AG and Crowe take a gamble and have an unconscious Hibiki sortie in the Genion. Using a mix of the Gundam systems, Tiffa's and his own powers, Takeru enters Hibiki's subconscious where a part of Hibiki's memory is re-enacted.
Hibiki's mother is able to resist Advent's control and kills herself before she is forced to kill Hibiki. This memory haunts Hibiki till this day but thanks to encouragement from the members of Z-BLUE and Suzune, who is still somewhere within Ambriel's consciousness, Hibiki manages to wake up and invokes the power of his sphere to change the Genion into the Geminion Ray. At this point, Hibiki's sphere is also at stage 3 (activates at 150 morale and it grants +10 skill to all allies).
Ambriel retreats after being defeated. Hibiki is determined to save Suzune and it looks like Z-BLUE's next destination is the Moon where the Moon Race are requesting help to fight against Sidereal.

Something tells me AG wanted Chaos Lemures to be reborn as the intended result and wasn't expecting Geminion Ray's appearance.

Hibiki may not be the most popular Original character, but Geminion Ray is definitely one of the coolest original mecha in SRW history. Not only it's design and theme amazing, it is also the top unit in the game.
Geminion Ray is a monster on the field. It's ability to inflict damage is on par with the likes of Shin Getter and Gunbuster, especially if Hibiki has his ACE bonus. With D · FAULT as one of the best barrier in the game along with impressive evasion. This mecha can play offensive or defensive as needed. Definitely a must have in no upgrade runs.

You forgot to mention 180223 when the Gemini sphere in Geminion Ray activates at 150 will it grants +10 skill to all allies which is good for units that got attack again.
Likewise at 150 will Setusko's sphere gives all allies +10 evasion so good for real robots, Crowe's sphere gives all allies +10 accuracy and Rand's sphere gives all allies +10 defence.

Usually a Diabolus Ex Machina is a bad thing, but in this case, it gave Hibiki...a Ray of hope.

The more I think on it, the more I suspect this isn't the Z3 originally planned. Something happened after Z2: possibly the point where Bamco basically revoked Banpresto's autonomy (akin to what happened with the tales studio) and/or key Z2 staff leaving (it's been said the OG character artist for the Z games left at least). In wake of these things, Z3 was likely redone to account for these things (including costs) and as a result hooks aren't quite used, key series written off (Eureka), and series added for their own sake.
If this is right, then we might be seeing a decline in the series.

Nicholas Alvonellos That's the name of the mode for the Genion's upgrade when Hibiki's sphere is invoked. Due to Hibiki's sphere, the original form of the Geminion changed in appearance which kind of upsets AG.
Hibiki changes the name to Geminion Ray which kind of surprises AG. Ambriel even thinks remarks that Geminion Ray isn't a bad name at all.
