    sir i have interview on 4th july sir my master's in organic but my organic not so good so i want to know that there is any diffrence in values of P.hd in organic ,inorganic,physical and m also not so good in english...thn what sholud i have to do...its my first time..sir plz give your important advise
    and there no any project in my master's thn how will it affect on my interview

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  6 лет назад +10

      Gaurav kaushik,
      I'll try to answer all of your questions one by one.
      Firstly you're asking that your masters is in Organic but you're not comfortable with it then I must suggest you that go with the topiv whatever you're comfortable be it of physical or Inorganic but you make sure that you're well prepared for that topic. And during your interview mention this thing that I want to answer questions related to this particular topic.
      Now the selection of your topic is very important here, you should be comfortable with questions in that topic and answer with confidence whatever you know.
      Secondly your problem with English, now it depends on institute in which you're giving interview, if you're giving in South India ppl will prefer English there but in north India your average English can work, but try to practice for some general questions in English and at the time you're uncomfortable in English just tell them that sir can I speak in hindi. Don't worry it won't degrade your marks, if they'll be good interviewers, till the time they can understand what you're telling they'll not degrade your marks.
      Now I can sense that you're worried and tensed, I'll just suggest you plz don't get tensed or nervous, nervousness is the only thing that can make your interview go bad. Plz relax and enjoy the experience, it's your first interview so don't expect everything from it coz expectations will lead to nervousness and it can affect alot of things.
      Just go with confidence, talk nicely, in a humble way, answer them with whatever you know and express yourself.
      Now talking about the project, it doesn't matter, tell them that in your university they don't give you projects. If they ask somthing that you don't know, just tell them that you don't know about it, don't hasitate in accepting that you don't know something.
      But answer whatever you know in the best way you can... Just like you're explaining to your frnds.
      I hope it helps,... For any query you're most welcome 😊

      All 'Bout Chemistry sir my interview in CURAJ sir you tell about sending email to supervisor...sir what is its imporance...and sir plz also suggest about dressing does it affect interview ???

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  6 лет назад +1

      Sending mail to a professor does help,
      I'll suggest you to send mail to only those professors whom you're interested in by going through their profiles.
      Dressing and all doesn't matter much, you're a chemist not someone from marketing deptt that you've to worry about dress.
      Just wear clean and tidy clothes, no need for formals, just go with some decent shirt and a pair of jeans.
      P. S. I too gave my interview in shir and jeans.
      Remember: it's how you present your knowledge matters not how you look.
      CURAJ is a nice place, all the best for your interview 👍

      Gaurav kaushik
      If you're interested in work by both of them then send mail to both.
      Write short descriptive mail that why you want to join his lab, what you liked and how you can be best option for him.

      Not everywhere, but if the institute asks you to submit it at the time of interview then you have to.
      and
      it should be clear in your mind that in which feild you're going t do your research, that can be asked while your interview.

    sir, i qualified csir jrf dec 2017 ... and i want to pursue phd in organic chemistry ... so what is better option in iisers and csir labs ... because i want to do phd from csir lab palampur .... but i have also selected for interview in iiser ..

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  6 лет назад

      CSIR labs are good for organic and only few IISERs are good... You can go for CDRI Lucknow as csir lab, I'm not that familiar with palampur...

      @pankajbhardwajSRF 6 лет назад +1

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  6 лет назад

      Yes ofcourse, CSIR Labs are very good option for PhD,
      If you've intrest in that feild and you're getting same then I'll suggest you to go for it...

    Hi sir .. This is manisha pandey ..i recently graduated with zoology botany and chemistry ..and am attracted towards chemistry most .. N a bit confused about m.sc in organic chem ,core chemistry and applied chemistry.. I further want to go for phd .. Will be thankful for your advice..

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  6 лет назад +2

      Hi Manisha, I can understand your dilemma, as you mentioned that you are intrested in chemistry and further want to go for PhD in chemistry, so I will recommend to go for core chemistrybcoz applied chemistry will not be that helpful for CSIR-NET or GATE. Talking about organic chemistry so in final year of your M.Sc you will be given choice for taking Organic/Inorganic/Physical as specialisation in many universities, there you can take organic if you want.
