If they never declared her missing since she never CAME home each day, even if she attended school then there's a case to charge them with child neglect which would likely lead to further investigation, and considering the sisters can say those types of things so blaisely, they wouldn't hide that the parents create a hostile, toxic environment for a child and that running away with limited resources because there was only so much she could have packed in one suitcase, was legitimately the better option for her.
