Behind the Bottle | Oribe Eau de Parfum

Oribe packaging is designed to create a visual statement that sparks an emotional reaction, becoming a covetable object on its own. The distinctive fragrance bottles are inspired by post-modernist art and architecture, featuring elongated oval shapes and a sculptural, one-of-a-kind resin cap whose color echoes the scent within.
Oribe partnered with a glassmaker located in Normandy, France that has specialized in producing fragrance glass bottles since 1892. The exceptional color and brightness of their glass is universally recognized as the highest quality possible for fragrance. Each Oribe bottle is hand-polished and inspected by the atelier’s master craftspeople, and is minimally decorated to allow the artisanal quality of the glass to shine through.
To complete the bottle design, a French manufacturer developed custom resin caps by combining both modern and Old World techniques. Each is unique in color, so no two will look exactly alike. The colors were created to evoke the fragrances: sandy tortoiseshell evocative of the beaches of the Côte d’Azur, tranquil green of the blooming desert for Desertland and marbled violet and rose for Valley of Flowers’ vibrant bouquet.
