Oh, that brought back visceral memories from my youth in the mid 50's when my church had a very similar organ. Still love that hymn, sadly we don't get to sing it these days.
Love the 5th bass note played by the index finger of the left hand on the last chord. Clever trick to give the 32' resultant sound and not overpower the bass note on the great....too clever.
Yes, using the 5th on this organ's sub bass is just too "muddy", but using a 5th on the 16ft in the swell it is just that little extra that can give a powerful ending :)
Thanks again for blessing me and all who hear your awesome playing. I'm sure the Heavenly Angels love being around your place! Blessings to you from over the edges of Boring Oregon.
LoL....Ear has not heard, eye has not seen....I'm sure when we finally reach home....we'll be rolling our eyes, laughing about how wonderful we thought Virgil Fox or E Power Bigss was...but I wish I could play better! Hurts to practice/play too much....torn roators and biceps, unfixable, so....sigh...praying for a Berlin!...or at least my Cottage gets fixes...think I found whats wrong...the front flaps...long strips curled up and died!...don't think it supposed to be glued...oh who knows! I made a video of this....maybe someone will have answers.
That can't be the same Manchester Grammar School as it is today as it is girls only. One of their MGGS buses goes past the shop I work in, I remember seeing it as it is one of the last if not the very last Volvo Olympian still going.
Rejoice the Lord Is King #715 in the UMC hymnal. Written by Charles Wesley in 1746 (1 Cor. 15:51-52) 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NIV) 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. Sounds more like a verse out of Revelation! Blessings my friend, Terry

I love the brilliance and power of this. Fun fact, this tune is also used for "Arise O God and Shine" in the Latter-Day Saint hymnal.

What a sound. Beautiful!
Thank you Mr. Carter :)
Fine tune, with organ and playing to match!
Thanks Ian!
Beautiful and Moving! I love your songs, and the Dominion Reed Organ, It sounds like a Pipe organ. I have a Cornish and co. Reed Organ.
Still absolutely wonderful... no matter how many times I hear hymns played on your fine reed organs and in your style Rodney!
God bless!
Just discovered you on Facebook. Your playing is stunning!
That is the most magnificent reed organ I have ever heard. THANK YOU for it!
Thank you Robert!
This one of my absolute favorite hymns!
Thanks, I always have enjoyed this one too!
Mine too! Though I'm used to playing it in D 🙂

Sensational! I loved how you did this Hymn.

Thanks Craig!
Who need a pipe organ with this? Wonderful as usual!
Exactly! These rarely need tuning and take less space too... thanks for commenting!
I agree. And this organ sounds like a pipe organ at times! (no joke)
Very great, Rodney.
Thank you Marco!
Nice performance - good big registrations.
This hymn needs a big sound! Thanks Rev. Tony!
