You ever notice, when you've got the blues, if you sing the blues, it gets better? Something about those sad, sad songs helps your broken heart, your lonely soul to heal. I think it has something to do with accepting your feelings and then your outlook changes. Oh, you don't have to sing them, just listening to the old bluesy songs works, "Loverman", "Stardust"' "Someone To Watch Over Me" all those old American standards that play on late night radio. Listen to Nat King Cole doing "When I Fall in Love" or any of the other great singers who covered those words, those melodies, those feelings deep down in your soul. Those songs open my heart and mind to calmness and contentment. Sometime when you're alone and lonely, try listening and singing along, it doesn't matter if you feel you can't sing, let it go, belt it out, then you can thank me later.
