With an impressive game library spanning from 1982 to 1993 and beyond (especially these last few years), the commodore 64 has been one of the most successful home computers and game consoles ever created.
These video-previews were created for the C64 EmuXtras pack on Xbox.

the great music was both a blessing and a curse. I dont know how anyone even tolerates playing a game without sound effects, especially in a space shooter type game
Luckily a lot of games (shooters) had both, such as Katakis. But, yeah sometimes the SID track was simply too complicated to allow sound effects.
Enforcer -- Full Metal Megablaster, I loved this game, basically the "sequel" to Katakis!!
Equalizer: graphics remind me of Wonderboy. Flimbo's Quest too!
Equinox (Micro Fantasy): I never saw you die that quick, and that often :D RIP Asphodel
Espial: now my eyes bleed from the graphics. And Evening Star too! Hellllppp! :o
Evil Garden is another eyebleed gfx, but darn it if that doesn't look like a damn cool game!!
...Another early 80s game, another ladder :D It's interesting they had so many ladder games back then.
Eye of the Beholder. That was a beautiful game, if there ever was one...
Fafkulce 80 -- that is a game? :o
Fire Galaxy, omg!! I spent so many hours on this.
Galaxy -- the "Galaxy" I remember was completely different, but maybe I'm confusing it with a Plus/4 game
Galencia -- wow, I love its smooth graphics compared to similar games like Galaxian
Garrison -- loved that game; the huge droves of enemies were always a challenge
Ghettoblaster -- a game called Ghettoblaster and no music?!
Green Runner -- nice speeches!
Fafkulce 80% is a C64 scene-demo by Dream (01:13:14) . I also made previews for Scene-Demos for the same Xbox project, and it mistakenly ended up in this video.
Enforcer (00:29:11) by Manfred Trenz; both 'Crush' ruclips.net/video/No_7MSpPbuw/видео.html and 'Enforcer' were seen as sequels to Katakis, however never official as around 2005 there was an official Katakis 2 in production (for both PC and C64), but it never appeared unfortunately.
Evil Garden (00:52:26)
Equinox MF (00:35:08); Ahem :) .Very bad and unforgiving game; I actually ended up not including this one in the pack; it's bad, very bad.
The Equalizer (00:34:08) was also released as 'Toddler' with different music ruclips.net/video/fo9_0HPrkLc/видео.html , resemblance to Wonderboy ruclips.net/video/fiBS2o4uoc0/видео.html
is very obvious; you could get away with that in the 80s.
Espial (00:44:02) . never played back in the day.
Eye of the Beholder (01:05:20) is an extremely well done port to C64!
Fire Galaxy (01:45:24) and Galaxy (03:06:00) were both done by Kingsoft in 1983, but as far as quality goes the modern version of Galencia (03:07:29) is clearly the better clone. Maybe you remembered this Galaxy: gb64.com/game.php?id=11198&d=18&h=0 that came on a magazine.
Garrison (03:20:21); never really got into it, well known though.
Ghettoblaster als known as Streetbeat (03:37:11) does have music; but you'll have to find the tapes first! :)
GreenRunner (04:25:45) and it's sister game Redrunner ruclips.net/video/ixz0YswLx84/видео.html are quite sample heavy, which is nice but too frantic for me :)).
Eruca is on compilation?i dont see
It's still missing titles of course, as the C64 had almost 10.000 titles in total (!). But as 'Eruca' is relatively unknown and came with a magazine I believe; I forgive myself :)
Elvira - one of the best games ever made.
So many C64 games have bubbles...
The C64 always had a Bubbly personality..
@@Asphodellife 😂
+++🛂+++I 🐸🦘SPENT MANY HOURD ON MY COMMODORE 64 🛃 PLAYING GAMES+++MY FAVOURITE WAS BOULDER DASH+++I 🐸 PLAYED THAT GAME 4 HOURS +++
Yeah, Boulderdash ruclips.net/video/POx7zX0mDao/видео.html is an absolute classic!
4:57 Eddie Kidd Jump Challenge - It looks like you played the same way I did! Until I figured out you press a key/button to shift and that motorcycle speeds up and takes off an actual jump that you have to skillfully fly through the air and then land! 😂
Thanks for the info. Yeah I'm obviously not playing it right 😄
did you occasionally play some of the more enjoyable game titles waaay longer than you really should have? 🤣
Definitely; 'New Gen' titles like 'Sam's Journey' or 'The Briley Witch Chronicles' really kept me going for some time. And still :)
EOS is one of my all time favorite games
(00:02:02) It's one of those 'deeper' games I didn't play back in the day. Looking back I missed out on quite a few good C64 titles because they looked too 'intimidating' to my younger self.
today i watched all from A to Z. thank You for this. i search from week one game, didnt know the name but now i found. microdot. also i found games what i dont remember but when i saw, everything just comeback : purple heart, spy who loved me, klax, star paws, agent usa. 🎉🎉🎉
Glad I could help out! :) Never played Microdot back in the Day, it seems fun. Could have used a good soundtrack during gameplay though ruclips.net/video/_WrZzysGrME/видео.html
