It's an awesome experience for sure. So glad I waited for the 3rd iteration of this form factor. (I still miss my N10+ a little, it was the best phone of it's time)

I've had my new Z Fold 3 for about a month now, this video has helped me find a few features I haven't found myself, this is the best phone I've owned by far, the cameras are the best I've seen and there are sooooo many different camera features then what is presented in this video like half fold the screen to set your phone on a flat surface and record video hands free with the need of a tripod, the super slow motion and super fast speed features are really cool to check out, there is just so many feature this phone has that it's impossible for someone to do a quick run through without getting side tracked talking about another feature more in depth, hidden features as well, unlocking developer mode and the list goes on, it would take hours to explain all the features you can do on this phone, I'm also a three button user but after watching this video I'm thinking about trying out the gesture mode 😀 👍🏻 thanks a lot for your video, I will definitely check out your others

A few days ago I got my Samsung Z Fold3 (an upgrade from my Note 10+). Quite happy with it and enjoyed your RUclips video on it. One issue that bugs me is the presentation of WhatsApp. Yes, all the screen sizes can be altered for the apps, however, on opening WhatsApp on the folding screen, WhatsApp uses the left side to display the names and the right side to display the messages, pictures, videos, etc. So, the information I am looking at has in fact become SMALLER on the screen. On a computer/laptop this works well, but on the Z Fold3 the reduced size is not something I like. Is there any way to have the messages, pictures, videos, etc. displayed on the full screen? Thanks for the help. Dinshaw Cawasji
What I did was create a shortcut to WhatsApp and my Gmail in my side bar. In multi app mode, WhatsApp doesn't show the left side anymore and I then drag the middle divider to keep Gmail as slim as possible and now I've a larger display for WhatsApp. Of course ideally we should have an option to toggle that feature off. Another workaround I figured out was to have the WhatsApp message preview widget on my home screen and tapping on a message brings it up in full view!
@@DC101909 I still miss my N10+, in my opinion, it was the best phone Samsung ever made. (before all the hpye and small increases year to year for Samsung to get people to trade up to the newest phones).
Fast charging has a toggle because it is VERY bad for your battery and far less safe. With regular use it will significantly reduce the battery's useful life. It is also the most dangerous way to charge the phone. Notice how hot a device gets on fast charge? That's because it's pushing the limits of the battery. Fast charging is not as safe for you, the battery, or your device. All the heat the battery is giving off is also bad for the other components of the phone and could even cause throttling during charging. Fast charging should only be used when you have no other choice, not as the default. In fact you should ALWAYS charge any device the Lion battery as slow as you can. Especially for your overnight daily charge. Anytime I could I always trickle charged my S7 active over 7-8ish hours using the low power USB ports on my PC case and now 6 years later my battery life is still nearly as long lasting it was when the phone was new. The reason people's phone, tablet, ect batteries dont make it more than a year or two without significantly reduced battery life is they charge them way to fast most of the time. Always use the slowest charging method you have time for to maximize the useful life of the battery and for maximum safety.
Love this video, Thanks. Had my ZF3 for 6 days. All your suggestions are on point. My 1st Fold. It was so fun to set up. Most things it kept from my N10+, most painless transfer to a new phone ever. Hello - thanks for posting these tips. It's kind of you to share some thoughts especially for new Foldable users. It's even relevant today, with the Fold 4. A quick tip --- Try to cut "ANYWAYS" and "TO BE HONEST" from your on-video vocabulary. Anyways doesn't really mean anything. And, "to be honest" is a very casual interjection that is not professional. Much more credible if you can cut these two terms from your vocabulary!
Just to give you a 'heads up', there is a VERY valid reason why they give you the ability to turn "Fast Charge" on & off - it is not only NEEDED, but is an incredibly smart addition. Charging at a higher Amperage does allow a battery to charge faster...but, it also shortens the overall life of the battery, and causes the battery temp to go higher when charging. On top of that, keeping a battery on the charger...ESPECIALLY when charging at higher Amperages, can lead to a battery "puffing", which, in town, can lead to dire consequences. One way to 'correct' this problem is to alternate between "Fast Charge", and 'standard' charging. If leaving on the charger did a fairly short period, then "Fast Charge" is (mostly) 'ok'. But, when putting the phone on the charger overnight (while you're sleeping), it's best to do so without using "Fast Charge". In other words, turn "Fast Charge" OFF when leaving the device on the charger for more than a few hours. Additionally, batteries with 'memory' problems (such as those used in cell phones, as well as for RC vehicles) can have their memory "altered" by constantly charging at sign a high Amperage. If a person consistently recharges the phone when the battery reaches 75%, after a certain (albeit, unknown, as that varies dependant on numerous factors) number of charges, the battery will 'think' that is full storage capacity (in mAh) is less than its true capacity. This is another reason to alternate between "Fast Charge", and 'standard' charging. Taking that one step further, people should deplete the device's battery as much as possible (say, to approximately 5%) at least twice each month, turn it off, and fully charge it (at the 'standard' rate, NOT "Fast Charge"), as this will help 'freshen' the battery, as well as removing any of the battery's "memory loss". I follow these same steps with my RC LiPo batteries, and it helps to extend their overall usable life. This is where the difference ends. With RC batteries, when they 'die', they are easily "replaceable"...you (properly) dispose of them, and order new ones. "Replacing" batteries inside our tablets & cell handsets isn't quite as easy...so, take care of them - do NOT always use "Fast Charge".
