@@KartingWithChris Though this is a veeeery late comment it's probably also worth mentioning that Big Mag is a former formula 1 driver himself. He was so talented Jackie Stewart claimed he was as good - if not better than Ayrton Senna! And her is not known for giving compliments. However, his F1 career was at best mediocre. He has admitted this was due to him not taking it seriously at all as he was so hyped resulting in his seat being taken from him mid season by a certain Jos Verstappen. I have found that in order to win, you have to be able to find that extra tenth of a second a lap when you need it. It is the difference between a podium and a win. When your brother payed down the fastest laps at the end, he was able to channel that. You should work on that for karting. It can be done via a sim or racing indoors at a track your brother is faster than you at and trying to catch and pass him. Overall awesome video!!!
The little plastic box is able to hold a transmitter device which can be used in longer races to call people into the pits. When a person is called to the pit, the device will flash red lights.
The holder at the steering wheel is for a box whit some lights, for remotely calling people in the right order at the start grid. They use it sometimes, but it a little unstable.

I either bring my own padding or use the padding they provide. 9 times out of 10 if you ask a worker they'll probably have something for you. I know some people will use a rib protector, but I use a yoga mat that I cut to fit the seat.
