- Just Another day of being a car enthusiast in California.. today’s video is a long time coming video that I’ve been putting together over the past few months ago. I didn’t want to make this into multiple videos and instead I gathered everything into just one semi big video blogging on what happened when I got state reffed and how I fixed it and went about it. State Referee tickets can be dismissed in court. You just gotta stay quiet and plead the 5th. Let them do their thing. Without PD actually measuring your exhaust level it makes the rest of the search of vehicle illegal. Contest your ticket next time. Get a good traffic lawyer. Playing the exhaust level by ear is ridiculous. The law is based on facts and provability not “I think this”. Glad everything worked out tho!

@@oscar_2v Happy to help. And if they do measure it, we’ll you know there are set procedures and steps to accurately measure the decibel levels. I had the same issue two years ago. Don’t be afraid to plead the 5th. Invest in a good traffic lawyer tho! And respect the streets as well to avoid attention. I know I’m NorCal they are stricter than here in SoCal.
Just got reffed today in my 5.0. I think I’m gonna take this route, talk to my lawyer. He did not read my decibels.

Thankfully they can’t touch me with my out of state plates. CA could be such a cool place if it weren’t for the government. Sorry you were harassed by tyrants for trying to enjoy freedom. Love the Stang btw, I’m not a convertible guy myself…but I see a clean one like yours and it sways my opinion. 😮💨

Back in the day it never failed any time after midnight I was pulled over in my toys. We are a easy targets for the cops. I just Uber when going out anymore after midnight.

@@oscar_2v thank you for breathing life into the New Edge. They have been dogged for so long. Always a fan of how you keep yours simple and clean. Definitely get a beater if you can. I love my beater cars more then my Stang. Just do not have to care is so nice.

But I for sure want a beater car to play around with. Maybe another new edge or a fox body that I can beat around and rebuild too

On my 04 mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray I put 3 inch pypes cat back but I put the throaty muffler for a deep rich growling

That 78mm should be CA legal I had a carb sticker when I got mine passed smog when I was there too.

I got state referee twice one for modified exhaust db test didn’t pass twice i had borla catback and then magnaflow till i got some quiteflow mufflers i pass that, second time was modified tune i had the performance tune o2 turn off i forgot to execute the sct twice for the smogtune that i had from my tuner and ones they plug it in the smog shop it automatically send me to state referee ☝️
I didn't get a DP test just said my exhaust is loud told me pop my hood n look in my truck n taking pictures
Too bad you can’t get your exhaust done bye ford and get paperwork to get you around their dumb laws I mean it is a performance car so a performance exhaust done right makes sense

We don’t need democracy or liberal extremists in California. There’s bigger issues in Cali and they want to focus on outlawing heavily modded cars. This is injustice and it sux since I wanted to mod my 06 C280.
