The thing I loved about Season 2 is that MT's situation is so much more darker and...difficult to resolve than Tulip's. She isn't resolving some personal, normal kid problem that will let her leave when she gets over it. Her very existence as a person who can live her own life is doubted, she's considered unworthy of having real freedom, and will be MURDERED by the cops if she fails. There's some real interesting, existential stuff here, and the fact that until the end, it felt like she could've been stuck on the train, made me root for her even more.

It feels like a bit of an allegory for being trans, being persecuted just for trying to be who you are and the fact that some people are so transphobic that they openly try to attack you.

I mostly agree, but it doesn't quite feel right to say that her struggles are more difficult than Tulip's. Darker, yes. More existentially troubling, yes. I think just different rather than more difficult though. Everyone's facing their demons and the problems life throws at them. Facing her parent's divorce may not have been directly threatening Tulip's life, but metaphorically speaking, it still very much threatened her existence as it was. They were just learning different lessons.
The bit with that girl who accidentally killed her lizard made me cry. That was a bearded dragon, I have a bearded dragon. I've had one bearded dragon before it. That one died because of liver problems. I have such a strong connection to stuff like that and it made me cry because I've felt that, with that exact animal. It's sad.
I'm sorry about the death of your pet, but I think subjects like these in a Cartoon Network TV-PG show (meant for "tweens", not younger kids) can be good. tough but good

Ok, don't get me wrong, good season BUT the End was weird. The Big Question was, is it possible with the Laws of Nature to leave the Train or Not? But the Answer was a very simple yes? I thought it was possible, but i never expected her to leave WITH HER METAL BODY! I thought transfering her in another body was the solution but in the end, it was just a 'Protocol-Problem' alone?!?!
Also, the last Episode shows really an amazing amount of People- so what? Does all of Humanity knows of the Infinity Train???? Cause obviously, no one gets his/her memory deleted, so?
All this kinda leads to a question, but of course the question exists anyway: Will there be a 3.Season? I mean, the Delusional Humans trying to raise their numbers alone are an open Storyline, right??

It’s sad as hell
Season 1: a traditional kid's adventure about learning empathy, the importance of facing your problems, and that for better and for worse not everything is about you.
Season 2: Chrome rebel's existential nightmare.
Book 2 of Infinity Train having its own (fantastic)story and ideas, distinct from book 1, is something that I love about the series as a whole.
Something I find great about how MT chose the name Lake at the end is shows how much she has grown and accept who she is. She chose Lake and lakes are reflective surfaces so now she embraces the fact that she is a mirror just different than most

When Grace and The Apex made an appearance in the show, I got this feeling that most-if not all-of The Apex are brainwashed, if you pay attention to the details like the color of Graces' make up matching the markings and the expressions of that kid when Grace gave him an order you'll know what I'm talking about

Well in the first episode in book one you can actually see tulips pod for a few frames leaving the background

@@spacechase9705 I think Amelia would be the coolest concept. Someone who finally realizes she needs to grow and move past her loss. Then realizing the destruction she's caused to others lives. Her goal would be to deal with the Apex and help them move past their struggles.

The two main Apex members seem to be the protagonists actually. The cover art shows them traveling with another girl

I have an idea or theory that Book 3 could tackle LGBTQ+. Perhaps the next passenger is trying to understand these feelings in an environment that is not supported these feelings. This passenger meets the Apex, finding their mindset familiar with their home environment attitudes and escapism from reality instead of facing those feelings. The Apex companion has similar problems at home that they have worked to avoid while on the train and they start to realize that they are lowering each other’s numbers.
I feel like Infinity Train, being a show about working through your issues and learning to be a better person, is such a great environment to help teach people about the complexities of being LGBTQ or transgender. There is so much prejudice surrounding it which can give off fearful information. Having it explained through an experience could be so powerful.

I only now realized the pods are exactly like the head of Amelia's robot conductor persona, meaning she must have highjacked either her own pod instead of leaving it, or someone else's pod as soon as they got off and it before it had time to close and come back to grab a new human, she then upgraded the pod by attaching electronics to the spot where the pod had the blue ring of electricity, which the pods normally use to move around

I think it was briefly debated about within the show itself. Jessie asked that exact same question, and MT answers that the reflection is just here, though she doesn't fully understand it how and why either.

@@NJ-tm1vn she gave Lake a reflective surface so she could traverse the real world. the mirror world cops can fully exit the mirror world because they also have something like this, maybe their masks? as far as I know, Reflections can only exist through reflective surfaces, this the swiss army knife mirror works to anchor Lake.

Just an observation i think is interesting yet i know if were told to Lake herself she'd punch the person in the face for it:
River= A common girls name based on a body of water=> unconventional Body of water name= Lake
Rose= A common girls name based on a perennial flower => Unconventional Perennial flower name=Tulip

I ship them also, their ship name was also called "JessLake". Idk how far as it goes, I would gladly think that there's a reason behind Lake's freedom after getting out off the infinity train.
My theory is (maybe spoilers alert?) is that when she and tulip meets each other on the real world, those two will come together back again as one, it means Lake will be back into Tulip's reflection. So it doesn't seem over for her and Tulip to just end their story to parted ways. You know why Tulip is seem so strange without her reflection. They will be back for a season where how infinity train all began.

I sorta like Jesse's arc, cause I know a few people that have little brothers or are little brothers, and they don't want to hurt each other but may do it because of peer pressure. Peer pressure more than anything is the most relatable part of Jesse, getting pulled along with a not so good group just because he's good at the sport, doing things that he doesn't want to do and changing his personality at times.

Its kinda ironic that at the end of part 1, its shown that Tulip didn't have a reflection anymore. On the other hand, Lake is shown to have a reflection by the end of part 2.
We need more information on Apex. Need to appear in season 3. And I'm curious about how she was able to summon the flex. Wouldn't you need to know their weakness in the first place? Wouldn't you need to actually be in the car? Yeah you can simply bypass it as they are passengers but that's exactly it. How do they know how to summon them so easily? What exactly happened? I would love to know a backstory to this

I feel like she would try and find her somehow and let her know she got off the train. Though I'm not sure she'd want to be friends with her because she even refused to follow her to get off the train. She seemed to have made it very clear she doesn't want to live her life or be associated with her life ever again. Though on the other hand, I feel like she would want to try and connect with her again, but in a friends way si sges not living tulip's life... idk honestly
One thing that I questioned during book 2. If the Apex were waiting outside of the carnival car. Then it shouldn't have mattered who opened the exit. They still would have stormed into the car, or did I just miss something?

So do we agree that the pull of the train is due to it being literally or virtually of infinite mass? making it have an intense gravitational pull? Mace presents it as Lake not being able to leave because of rules, but I saw it as physics. The way she jumps and launches back to the train almost looks like an orbit.

id like if the guy lake pod jacked returned and was a supporting character in a story where the apex attack him thinking he is a denasin because he never got a number and they end up unintentionally killing him and one one finds out and has them face severe punishment
Wait so could the Family Tree Car have been created to help cope with bickering family? Maybe they were about to get into some horrible purge feud, like Romeo and Juliet? The car was created for them to cope and get over that problem? Though they never got over and were all turned to wood, and in the sense that they don't have an entire body, but more of a photograph look, they lost their numbers. This technically turned them into denisons, which is a point of no return. Now they bicker indefinitly. Wild theory, but it would be cool.

I definitely like Infinity Train but I'm don't know if I'd call it the most ambitious cartoon..yet at least.
I'm hoping we get more episodes and answers to things like if One One is actually as good as viewers may think it is I mean the train kidnaps people & holds them hostage against their will on a train to solve their problem. The train also creates life with the ability to think and feel emotions but as seen with Metal Tulip they only serve one purpose.

I think the only thing that confuses me about this book is that the man MT stole the pod from somehow didn't have a number even though he had been coming from the tape car and should have had a number. I get that Owen Dennis confirms that, without a number, the dude is just gonna die but how did he not have a number at that point?

Not being able to leave the train with Lake messed him up so much that the train thought it'd be a negative life altering event. Hence is 2nd visit
Same question tho lmao. I thought he went to find the train after he got home without knowing he was already back there, it's because one-one send him back again when the train will show up for him and there was this memory examination tape w/ some white little ones circling to play to find out all of a passenger's flaws, memories, secrets and problems (but that wasn't shown in the episode, just an example ofc when I see how Grace get into the train on book 3).
