I played against a guy on the ladder who would not stop sending his overseers in to poop all over my production. It was pretty effective and I'm surprised we don't see it more.
It’s probably more useful to deny an upgrade or a key unit in the early to early-midgame, but building any static defense basically renders it useless. Still cool too see an intentional application of the ability to prevent immortal production in the second game.
Even just looking at how Serral plays I am scared... At this point this guy feels like he fused Terran and Zerg gameplay... Insane Micro with insane Macro. I love it!
Every time I see him play he is adding another dimension to the game. Few players use Overlord abilities because they make such a minor difference, but that minor difference is enough for Serral to spend APM on it…and it makes the games look effortless.
This first game reminds me of a pretty hilarious TvT Serral played against Reynor (Reynor challenged him to try Terran in the first game of the match) in a Basilisk event, where he played a weird Medivac-Tank-Viking mech and used them like a Dropalord-Ravager-Corruptor combo. He was visibly amused and Reynor had no idea what to do playing regular bio and lost the game. They switched to Zerg for the rest of the match, but Reynor still lost. 3-0.
I've been watching a lot of SC2 lately and I would love to see a lot more silly for-fun stuff. Off-race only, 2v2, archon mode, 2v2 with teams of same race
@@GigaTyGuyI've always thought it's a real shame there's not an Archon division. It would be really cool to see how some of these pros work in concert.

Guys, about the progress bar and timer spoiling the result... I just sent some feedback to Google asking them to give us a setting for hiding the progress bar and timer. If you think it is a good idea or have another idea, shoot them with the feedback. Maybe we can get ourselves an anti-spoiler feature.
I think that was a great pick for a bonus clip. Spoiler alert! Watching Serral dismantle his opponent made Zerg look so overpowered and Protoss unplayable. But then Creator cleanly takes out another top tier Zerg. Just shows how different the outcome can be in different hands.
Can you please start the cast at the 45 second mark at the latest? I'm really intersted in seeing what build the players are using, and we don't actually look at the first game builds until almost the 3 minute mark.
btw yeah, Protoss do not have mouths. They do need oxygen, but they "breath", absorb water and "eat" light through their skin sort of like Earth plants do. They also excrete through the skin😁. So for everyone who didn't know... now you know😅.
I love how protoss is constantly trying to reinvent the wheel to catch their opponents by surprise, meanwhile Terran and Zerg have spells they just don't ever really feel a need to use.
It’s because Zerg has some spells that are bad. Contaminate risks losing supply for a small timeout that Protoss can chronoboost away. Microbial shroud is also known as “please storm here mr protoss”.
I love the idea of the Final game. You should do it more of your videos. I would also like to see a video's with that. I think it was alex guy. I will have to rewatch this video to find out what his name was.
*fictional bonus like for bonus anti spoiler game, wich is actually very fitting, showing two players doing the same, but Serrals finesse being the difference!*
The Raynor game shows how close he was to beating Serral in that first game. Denying charge and hitting the twilight at perfect times snowballed the entire game in Serral's favor. I'm not suggestion Creator was going to win , moreso that his 2-0 loss against serral doesn't tell the whole story.
@@ahuzelthat huge range is nullified by having some corrupters, infestors or a viper. They are slow, expensive and have a low dps, which means they can only be used to send a few blasts onto the peripheral units before retreating back to their (massive) support group, and hope they don't get swarmed, yoinked or fungaled.
@@tankbuggeru if only feedback had enough range, low cost and instant cast... let alone psionic storm for zoning. if u already have air, voids also eat corruptors
@@ahuzel sure, but templars are extremely slow and weak ground units, and juggling them in a prism takes a lot of skill, not to mention that they are a completely different tech tree. But vipers are fast air units that pay for themselves with a single yoink against lategame airtoss and can refill its mana quickly. There is no question that feedback and especially psi-storm are powerful spells, but the caster is too clunky to favor a good trade in comparison to the "free kill guarantee" that a viper would bring against tempests/carrier/mothership. No wonder the pro-tosses (hehe) are trying to win the game with phoenix/oracle harassment, leading into good mid-game ground army. Late game vs zerg is a nightmare.
Protosses just play so greedy with oracles. He easily could have gotten 4 drones and kept both alive in game one. The spore fired off like 10 times too! Imagine if he could have kept them alive just for scouting and defensive stasis’s :/
most underated spell is oracle stasis , each cast does 400-800 mineral dmg. most toss get 2 anyway, all you really have to do is park them in back of zerg base to get thousands of resource ahead
Seems to me that Zerg is over powered. They have an answer for all stages of the game in a way Protoss doesn't have and Terran has slightly. But overall Zerg seems to be SO MUCH tankier but also have so much of a higher dps, than when I used to play SC1 back in the day. They also seem to have by far the best spell casting.
@@pange8132 Even if, hypothetically, it worked, then you have the matchup centered entirely around toss rushing to a single spell to counter zerg spamming a single spell. Such an interesting viewing experience.
It doesn't really do all that much against a solid Protoss archon-immortal-colossus-stalker deathball, meanwhile Protoss has acess to the psionic storm which is much more powerful than a fungal.
@@bleflar9183 You don't understand what the point is of fungal. Psionic storm doesn't prevent your opponent from retreating and force them to die to you. Fungal is a better forcefield.
