Great to see Pretty Things again, Dick Taylor with the excellent guitar playing, and Phil May and his good voice. Great that they can still do it. I liked best of their music from the sixties. Thanks for showing this recording. Regards Joergen, Denmark
Great, great, great! Thank you so much for uploading. The pretty things kept on from where the rolling stones sold their souls if it is r & b, psych, rock, blues.
This is excellently recorded! Thank you so much for recording and uploading this!!! It's so amazing to get to see a full Pretty Things show since I live in the US and its not likely ill get to see them in person myself.
PT were member of the greatest era in rockmusic, the late 60' s in London. Stones, Beatles, Kinks, Who etc. what a great period. SF Sorrow is such a masterpiece but was a bit overlooked because of albums like Sgt.Pepper, Who sells out, Aftermath, Days of future past and that was a shame. This also happened with Kink' s Village Green album. Still got all these great vinyls on my shelf. You shouldn' t miss the SF Sorrow live performance at Abbey Road Studios with guests David Gilmour and Arthur Brown as narrator here on RUclips.
Sin duda uno de los mejores grupos de los 60 los sigo desde un EP que sacaron en España en el 65 era una versión de A HOUSE IN THE COUNTRY original de Ray Davies.
I see that Stevie Wonder and Carole King are performing classic albums in their entirety at Hyde Park London this summer (i.e. Songs in the Key of Life AND Tapestry. I just wish the Pretty Things could do the same and give their 60s stuff a miss, and concentrate on 3 of their best albums of the early-mid 70s that are so cruelly ignored. I refer to Freeway Madness/Silk Torpedo and Savage Eye. The only song that gets an occasional airing from these albums is 'Havana Bound'. These 3 albums compete with Exile on Main Street and Sticky Fingers. Easily
+Bruce Nichols Like you their first was my first LP purchase using my first wage packet, followed by the Downliners Sect and Get the Picture (Pretty's 2nd). As you say they went down hill after that, sold out to commercialism and LSD.

Parachute. My favourite.
Phil May & Dick Taylor : eternally yours ! ... ;)
Hey if you're the guy on the drums you did a good job (nobody else read this)
My first album was their 1st as I did their 2nd one, then in my opinion they went downhill, but a great live band

+Bruce Nichols 'S.F. Sorrow' and 'Parachute' are their masterpieces! :)
Not the Pretty Things I like
