  • Watch the video for the following prompts:
    Notice how the vocabulary section is a) situated in a full sentence, b) prompted with the use of gestures and movements and c) assisted with concept checking questions, e.g. do you travel to school by ship? Does the metro move very fast or very slow?
    During the vocabulary explanation, there is a brief explanation of the difference between 'live' and 'lives' - but not a full grammar explanation. The focus is on fun and enjoying the game aspect.
    When preparing students to have a dialogue, the images are highlighted to give meaning to the question and answer sentences. Location, distance, and method of travel are all mentioned to the students, but not over-explained. This should set up a pattern for the students to start having independent dialogues in the form of group pair work.
