I really love the "NO" its like, well, everything we fear. Its like the "Never more" from poe. Its the fear that everything we do or may do will just be ruined by a simple "No" The "No" being said by people, or even life itself "No" its the most powerful word.

We've all felt that feeling one time or another. The deep cut of another's rejection into your soul. That sinking feeling that follows their words. It can turn even the most pleasant memories sour. Whether you'd orginally asked for romance or friendship, or even maybe for forgiveness, rejection still burns and tears at your heart. He knew well the sting of that one word. That one cruel, two-letter word that the one he was sure to be his lover let flutter between her lips. Perhaps the pain was too much for him to bear. Perhaps his friends were right; he had finally reached his breaking point. He furrowed his brow. She would know the suffering she cast upon him.

Self-harm is one of the ways our bodies artificially produce endorphins, but there are other things that produce endorphins that may take away your desire to self-harm. I could be majorly overreaching here, but the "No" name of this track represents more to me than a simple response to a question... the sinister, cruel, and overall "lost" sound of the piano perfectly describes how it feels to be on the receiving end of the malevolence of a man (or a woman, for that matter) who doesn't understand what the word "no" means. The helplessness; the fear; the crying out for someone to help you, only to be met with the resounding sound of doubt and indifference... that was what was brought to my mind as I listened to this beautiful piece. The pain; the sorrow; the anger, building up inside- the feeling that you can never trust another soul again. For this very reason, this track was both wonderful and heart-stabbingly painful to listen to... it perfectly encapsulated all of my deepest, darkest emotions, and presented them in a way that even I could understand them better- it forced me to realize the darkness that still lurks in my own heart. This is definitely one of the best compositions I've listened to in a long time!! Thank you, Lucas!!

But there comes a point for all of us that we just have to stop and say "NO." The corners seem to blend seamlessly together and there is no sign of a door, but I know there has to be one. They say I'm insane, but I can't be! I've never hurt anyone! But then why am I sitting here, on the floor of a dimly lit cell? I stand up and pace a zig zag on the floor. I won't let them make me insane. „No, no, no." my voice sounds so forign in my ears, despite my frequent vocalizations. I pace the words with my steps, a steady rhythm. I start to lose focus after a minute of this, my mind wandering back to that dark space. „No, No, No." I quicken my breathing and the words fall out of sync. I have to avoid patterns and stay busy, or I'll go crazy faster. I won’t let them take my sanity. Sighing, I close my mouth and sit facing the wall with the door. Or where I think the door is. Maybe it's on the other wall? What if it's on the wall behind me? What direction was I facing earlier? Thoughts cloud my head in a jumble, but above it all I still hear that quiet „No, no, no."

XD Basically this seems like a nice theme song for a Crow like revenant anti-hero. But maybe that's just me lol. Great work as always dark piano master.

Even in expiration, *His* cloak was spread out about him like a pair of wings, brilliant crimson vivid against sickly skin. Wide silver eyes, staring into nowhere, one hand upon the red flower which had bloomed upon his chest, the other extended towards the scythe which had fallen down the steps which had led to the dark throne directly behind *Him*. Soon the trials would begin again. But for now... with the maddened Lucian contesting a banshee’s rage as the wizard began to desecrate the throne room of the Raven, *He* could sleep. *He* could rest... if only for a frozen moment in time... a moment of eternity.

It shattered on contact with the black marbled floor, dissipating into shadow. _”Were I frighten of what I had created, I would have fled of succumbed to you long ago. Have you any idea how often you have beaten me, Lucian? How many times you have corrupted the Chosen? You have won, Lucian. Yet, something refuses us to move on. I care not if you should slay me where I stand. I wish to be done with it. Slay me, Witchkiller, Liar, Grinning Man. Destroy me once and for all, if you can. I should like to breathe in peace... alone... in oblivion.”_
*He* never finished his words, and with a gag, *He* felt the silver blade of Lucian’s blade bite through his armorless torso, cutting through black cloak, thin peasant shirt, burying itself into sickly, scarred breast and pushing close to the heart entrapped within its cage of ivory bone. Lucian was pierced nose to nose with *Him*, his face contorted into a snarl as *His* mouth fell open. For a moment, hanging there in peace, *He* choked, his eyes wide and pain more real than when They had died one by one. The pain... was real... not muted... not pretend. *He* was dying. Iron tang slowly and blissfully made its first tracks from *His* bloodless lips as *His* silver eyes stared into crimson. Shaking, the hands of the Father wrapped themselves around the hands of Lucian, the hands which had driven the blade into the Raven’s breast. No longer was *He* floating above the ground, but was now collapsing to it as shuddering breaths grew more frantic.
“Never tempt me, Father. I will always oblige.” Lucian smiled. But his smile was short, for he noticed that *He* was smiling as well, a pained smile which spread from ear to ear. There was laughter, *His*, as his bloody hands slipped away from Lucian’s, the scythe he which had once been held falling to the ground, ringing as it settled upon the marble.
*He* shook *His* head, black locks now plastered to his cheeks and forehead. _”I... never doubted you for a moment, Lucian. I knew... I knew.”_
Lucian now heard faint whispers again, as silhouettes of *Him* returned to their places over *His* shoulders, translucent, their silver eyes appraising with narrow feelings. Some of them lay bleeding on the ground, some of them with their eyes open in death. Has this... been a trick?
_”I do not like tricking you, Lucian... but I must reset this cycle in some way. Were it not for you here... I would wait until I faded away. This path... you can never see it. I tell you each time you run me through, yet I know you will never remember. I... I am sorry, Lucian.”_ *His* pupils began to dilate, swallowing iris slowly. _”No, Lucian. I do not fear what I have wrought. I fear... I fear... Becoming one... of them.”_ *His* eyes tracked towards the nearest shadow which stood unmoving overhead, looking straight forward.
Lucian drove the knife in further, but nothing came of it. *He* was already unmoving.
All around him, Lucian heard the screaming echoes, the maddening whispers of paths he had ventured upon before. He was alone. He had completed his task. Father was no more, save for in the form of the lingering ghosts which stood about the cadaver of the Raven Lucian had killed. Even in expiration, *His* cloak was spread out about him like a pair of wings, brilliant crimson vivid against sickly skin. Wide silver eyes, staring into nowhere, one hand upon the red flower which had bloomed upon his chest, the other extended towards the scythe which had fallen down the steps which had led to the dark throne directly behind *Him*.
Lucian glared around him feeling his jaw tighten and his teeth bare. What was there to do now? Why hadn’t this been the end?!
“No.” He growled at the corpse, at the ghosts which surrounded it. “NO!”
He threw his head back, a primal scream filling the empty room, the voices of the deceased rattling in his mind, their voices a cacophony of discord in the background. He had lost again. *He* would always be one step ahead of him! Was there no way of winning this chess game.
The glassy silver eyes of the Raven peered into nothingness, and nothingness made way for his sight. The ghost of a smile was worn upon his lips, fleeting joy. Soon he would wake again. Soon the trials would begin again. But for now... with the maddened Lucian contesting a banshee’s rage as the wizard began to desecrate the throne room of the Raven, *He* could sleep.
*He* could rest... if only for a frozen moment in time... a moment of eternity.
