A big problem with the Big Sur area is that a lot of it is only accessible by one highway and that has been closed at various points over 50 times because of landslides.
We love Carmel-by-the-sea/pebble beach area and thats why we started out listing last year so we can share our vacation homes with others who love the area as much as we do! Totally agree on the theme you mentioned. Most of the rentals are "carmel charm". We'd like to position ourselves for golf (tons of famous courses) and car enthusiasts (THE car week!) would love to talk more and even host you and your family if youre ever in town again :)
Loved this one I’m 2 hours away from SLO/ pismo central coast so these were familiar but cool to see it from other eyes We live solvang too Stopped there on our honeymoon at the central coast
My friends and I go to Pajaro Dunes (north of Carmel) every year and I rent thru VRBO. They are condo's and houses on the beach. We rent the same place every year and it is booked solid till Dec. The last one I saw for sale was $1,000,000.00 and the HOA fee's are crazy.
Yeah, if you don’t like the city life, it’s definitely not for you. It takes a lot of patience to live in a city like San Francisco, or any city that’s congested. You will not survive here! But if you can live in a city like SF, you can live anywhere!! I was born and raised in San Francisco, but moved out to the suburbs decades ago. But I still have families there. And still love my city, even though it’s not how it used to be.
I did this kind of flip experience during a Napa Valley Trip. My first trip out of range. It's a good way to get acclimated to the anxiety of ceding control. I did have a person on the ground who was on-call. But after that, I've left it more loose.
It’s really a shame how city’s and county’s are trying to create a barrier to entry for home owners to run a short term rental business. Just seems criminal if you ask me. But on a positive note; loved the video and you guys seemed to enjoy yourselves. Keep the videos coming
My wife and I honey mooned in California and one of our favorite stops was Big Surr. We have always dreamed of buying a house in that area. Would you consider a partnership in your next air bnb rental?
On Solvang, it says Danish everywhere and they will say the Dane’s. But I could see this being the case I Europe like in Copenhagen etc But I totally see what u mean. Just haven’t heard or seen that being the case in solvang

We weren’t able to drive down past a certain point because of the road closures. It was a little nerve wracking TBH!
I enjoyed seeing and hearing about your trip. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!🤍

I wonder if the concrete at Big Sur has anything to do with the 2 times they had to rebuild the PCH and ares around that eroded from floods

It’s so pricey! Next time we will plan further ahead so we can rent someplace for sure
Your man would love Santa Cruz. Clouds break there.

Ah, a little less stressful than you though, we hope! That’s definitely a concern when we’re away! It’s hard not to worry. But all was well🙏🏼🙌🏼
Really cool tour, guys ❤️
Thank you!
I love SF ❤
I think you could find a less expensive and restricted area for your second BNB.
Yes, this is true. We do love it up there though!

Big Sur is the best! We prob would definitely consider partnering someday for sure. Never say never!
It used to be a building! It’s from previous civilisation before the global catastrophe 250+ years ago
You think so??
I could see that being from a building that got washed away from floods maybe
Airbnb owners started to lose money, slow bookings, including yours!
Yes and no... our bookings this summer are already better than last. It all depends on the area you're in.
Lol one says danish other says Dutch haha which one is it?😅 different countries and all ✌🏻
THANK YOU for schooling us on this. Oh my gosh... we were today years old when we learned Dutch vs Danish!! Googled it. Wow. Wow. haha

I'm going to guess that Michael is a Gemini and Kristen is an Aries.
Interesting guess... actually Kristen is a Gemini and I am a Taurus!
