The price isnt just for tourists...this place if im not mistaken sells these kinds of snacks ang a single serving in one place i know is 99.00. So that big serving should be good for 5 servings or more. Another place that serves bigger HALO HALO sells it for 800+...yes there are places which sell cheap halo halo but it wouldn't taste the same..and as you can see the scoops of ice cream they put in there is more than a pint if not 1 pint...you might ask why im defending them, it's not because i own the place but i am from Cebu and I've been to lots of restos that cater to foreigners and i have some korean friends..and i observed they are the type of tourists who can't be led by the nose..they do research before going to a place..
try ordering a large halo-halo with ice cream in chowking, it costs 112 only. That bowl is less than 4 servings. Did you see how it shrunk when the guy finished stirring it?
Chowking halo halo doesn't taste as good as those that specialize in desserts...their crushed ice are too big...if i were to choose i'd rather have the MYJOY HALO HALO...it tastes much much better than Chowking..and besides if i were a tourist id rather eat in a resto where the food is good than go to a resto where the food is cheaper but not as good right?
i got your point but not most of them., And definitely not a robber, as that shop who has name print signage and wearing uniform because they would surely pay taxes and etc. big time because of its location. the more your place is known the higher it cost you taxes, rent, and the cost ingredients maybe also affect it. i think the halo halo price fits basing on its quality and quantity. i study a little bit of entrep and a lot of experience thats why i can say this. i can relate. :)
