Did you actually look at the deck? Most URs are staples seen everywhere and 3 of them are guaranteed. Triskelion and Card Destruction are the only URs that I haven’t seen in meta decks

i have been playing my metaphys deck in this event and man after seeing me do more combos during the opponent's turn (not letting them start their main phase) they start scooping funny since they take up an eternity to set up their board so this kinda counts as a revenge lmao
Now I knew this would be used in the event since they in the show are literal synchron killers in the lore but what about when it's not the event can meklord stand on it's own and rise to plat
Meklord is basically "synchro killer", so against any other deck, it doesn't really stand a chance. Especially in Master Duel where most plat players use link based deck like Tri-brigade or Sky Striker. However, with some luck, you can have fun stealing hope and bringing despair to the Synchron player who came across your path, and just for that (if we put the actual price of the deck), it'w kinda worth it.
Technically there's one archetype like that, the Ursarctic one. When you look at Septentrion's effect, it's basically a Skill drain for XYZ and Links. Sadly, the whole archetype is lacking more powerful boss monster and there's too many restriction to summon them. However, it's still a pretty fun deck to play, especially when you manage to use all the counter of Ursarctic radiation to draw 7 cards.
I still play Timelord here like a final villain of 5D's (Z-one) though. Not sure if my random Timelord deck could win against Meklord easily like in anime, but I'm hoping to see one. Also this deck is actually my third interest after Timelord and Stardust. Sadly they seem to not shine much outside this event. (But maybe I might build it during this event for FUN)
Timelords have a Syncro monster, don't they? Is kinda Ironic and also somewhat reassuring thinking that even Z-one still felt like the Syncro monster would change the future

I completely forgot that meklords are specialized synchro killers. I really love the archetype but since synchros aren't the only extra deck monsters it was always difficult to use them at their full potential. Thank you very much for this great reminder!
The problem is, this synchro event barely has any players that actually use synchro decks. Most decks I fought especially in platinum uses true draco or anti meta decks
Pretty much yeah, and by the time you use Meklords, you’d be running against a lot of True Dracos and this deck doesn’t go well against them. Oh well, I had fun stealing that one guy’s Red Supernova Dragon tho

I’m so glad the Synchro Festival happened, I get to use all the Meklord cards I got when I started Master Duel to their fullest potential! Also I never new Stygian Dirge was even a card, but MAN I’m glad I know it now!
Ya know...I almost forgot about Meklords xD. I'm doing what I did during the N/R Festival: Pure Predaplants. Focusing on Predator Counters! Reduce everything to 1 and tribute them off. And not relying on fusions lol. Though I DID make a Laval deck but I need to tweak it..maybe with some Flamvells?
i never liked synchros and didnt have any decks so i was gonna skip this event but I actually found that my Dino deck with Synchros replacing all my boss monsters is actually not too bad. i am using the earth true draco along with the field spell to get rid of a lot of problem synchro cards and the deck has a lot of earth monsters. More importantly Baby and Petite who i WANT to destroy. The scraps don't go into anything crazy anymore but they're free targets to destroy simply off Scrap Raptor so it works decently 🤷 Also Ultamite Conductor, Pankratops, and Overtex are always fine board monsters anyways
Heheheh ironically this is the one festival where they have to in theory have synchros galore for you to absorb so Meklord is one I'm thinking of playing on a alt or two just to get through the festival. After all love playing them in DL during the festival till some FTK or just silly XYZ meta deck is allowed in and doesn't even take that big a hit in the event from not charging counters every turn.
Watching this video just reminds me how much people don't bother reading the effect of cards...and the amount of people in this event I've seen used Effect Veiler and the cyber trap too early or on the wrong card...had one used it on Crimson Resonator as I summon it...still letting me summon Supernova and Abyss and them surrending...haven't played ygo for over 10 years but it still sucks that Meklord isn't as op like their anime version.

I used this deck to sweep the Synchro Festival. Real good stuff. I ended up changing just some very few things, only had one of the UR 3K super succ, but overall it was a relatively cheap and fun deck.
This event is basically an all-you-can-eat buffet for Meklords and I love it Or is what I'd like to say, but most duels I had doesn't even use Synchro summons

It's a Synchro Festival yet here we are, I didn't saw any Synchro summoning in this deck. Just like how Master Duel allowing tribute summoning and equipping monster, as long as a Synchro Material and Synchro card is in the Deck. It's pretty much allowed despite no synchro summon happens

Honestly my only issue with this event is that they didn't release a Synchro Structure deck like they did last time. I mostly enjoy fusion based archetypes(by pure coincidence) and if its wasn't for rage of cypher i would not have been able to play the Xyz event. Structure decks are an easy entry to new things, i expected them to release one and i was ready to pay a bit if need be for more cards. Oh well.

Ran into a couple Meklord players while I was practicing for the festival. Definitely the most based deck to play in this event.
Imagine the amount of gems that had to be funneled into a deck that will only be used this once in the entire history of Yugioh

However, with some luck, you can have fun stealing hope and bringing despair to the Synchron player who came across your path, and just for that (if we put the actual price of the deck), it'w kinda worth it.
If they expand the "meklord mechanics" with extra deck stealer , maybe the archetype could change to a semi fun to a rouge very quickly.

Honestly this deck is perfect for this event. Most people just end up quitting once I steal their synchro monster they took so long to set up and summon. lol I def feel like Aporia as they know despair. hahaa

Honestly my only issue with this event is that they didn't release a Synchro Structure deck like they did last time.
I mostly enjoy fusion based archetypes(by pure coincidence) and if its wasn't for rage of cypher i would not have been able to play the Xyz event.
Structure decks are an easy entry to new things, i expected them to release one and i was ready to pay a bit if need be for more cards. Oh well.
