A confirmed pressure reading of 879 mbar was actually recorded in Gilbert during it's peak intensity, but it was rejected by the NHC for "not being believable" at the time. My analysis on Gilbert is 200/878. Edit: nvm, the 879 mbar reading was proven to have been inaccurate, so I think Gilbert was 195/882 (195 mph based off the flight level winds).

Where did you find that? I heard something about lower
pressures but I couldn't find anything about 879mbar specifically.
