That's because Prime introduced J-music for the first time in the series. It has somewhere between 50-100 songs, I believe. Even more than Korean music in that version, if I'm not mistaken.
wished they had more players like these in Japan... been playing since early 2000's and when finally we get PIU here in 2015 no one challenges the machine! Japanese players like static, robotic games that you use your fingers and hands to hit the screen, Freestyle is something we don't have here as it's kind of socially unnaceptable to draw attention and "show off". The only good part of this is that you can play a literally a whole saturday without having to wait for your turn :)

I grew up in the US having an arcade to spend many hours on weekends to play games cheaply, but then the recession hit in 2008 and many arcades closed for a decade except those whose business also serves alcohol and food like Dave and Busters which many would invest in card point systems. These places were far and few and could charge a lot to play any game. When my area finally got a Round1, it was super depressing to see a younger generation miss out on what experience I had in my youth. I've seen very few people play DDR and Pump It Up past the basic levels, and the price of gaming is discouraging to younger people who I'm sure would love to get better at it.
