Jin was always this strong,he was just weakened for most of Tekken 8 due to his mental state.
The one with the plot armor is that Mary Sue woke culture insert Reina,but i bet you like her even though she is trash.
Jin is the man, it has been this way since Tekken 3.
At his best he is the strongest and best fighter.
No plot armor involved,this is consistent.

It's just my opinion but Jin and Kazuya are so strong even with or without the devil gene it's almost terrifying it's like Kazuya that power was a means to an end it could mean there could be even higher power or the 2 of them have gone beyond the Devils power
The way they pushed themselves in the final battle reminded me of Heihachi.
I think their humans forms are ATLEAST as strong as before, possibly slightly stronger.
Almost like they arent polluted from the devil gene and their Mishima lightning is more clear now.
They summoned lightning from the sky etc.
Without being able to rely on his Devil form,Kazuya pushed the limits of his human form, and Jin in turn had to match and surpass that.
Kazuya always had more potential than his father,but he focused on his devil powers instead.

Tekken 8: Acceptance
Tekken 7: Laziness
