I been a fan of the Kaiju genre since I was a youngin, and I really love the monsters design Matsumoto cooks up, they have an eerie and otherworldly aura to them. Prior to #9 showing up, Kikoru was getting busy, and really backing up that shit talking. The more you ladies see of her the more your love her. Ichikawa and Kafka's bond/partnership is one of the many reasons this series is so enjoyable. They remind me of Saitama and Genos.
6:37 Bruh, what is this translation, he 100% did not said "who cares?". Corret line would be something like that "I expected as much/thats natural"(that she got the top score). Like, it's already cold enough vibe, why did translator felt the need to change it like that. It went from strict and cold to straight up a dick with this change IMO.
Fanslations always do this. They're made by teenagers who are desperate to seem edgy. Same reason they unnecessarily add cursing to a lot of translations when there is none.
All the series ladies you named are top classics, I especially adore Bleach and AoT. But one of the things I really like about Kaiju #8 is how it's able to take these similar ingredients from other series to cook something cool, unique, and good in its own right. Again, I'm excited and happy you ladies are checking this series out. I can't wait for more dope reactions.
I've read a good chunk of the manga and Kikoru is my favorite character. There's a thing is anime where you can have amazing female characters and amazing male character together without one devaluing the other. Kikoru is great and Mina is great but so are Ichikawa, Hoshina and this guy you haven't seen yet.
@@darkgenesis342 Would be a rather long list now that I've actually given it some thought. So I'll just use a few shortcuts. All of Toonami, all of Adult Swim, and 4kids for starters. Most of the mainstream stuff and some not so. But I love this show because it clicked for me. I could give some reasons why. But none of them are particularly amazing or things you couldn't find elsewhere. However this show gave me an actual urge to binge it. Now I binge anime in general from time to time. But this one gave me THE urge. And the last two shows I can remember doing that for me was early Black Clover and Jobless. It just hit all the right buttons I suppose.
This was the turning point in the show for me. I had to finish it after this, couldn't leave it at that reveal in the end.

Yeah the Kaiju are very interesting looking! Also am loving the bonds they are all forming
@@TheReactPack The character bonds are really good and are big highlight of the series

I think Kafka is more like Kikoru's big brother or father figure she never had, getting praised, getting appreciation if anything.
he is the "cool" uncle.. 😂

I enjoyed the show but the references felt a bit much imo, the whole show feels like a reference
@@darkgenesis342 Fair I suppose
@@Okkotsu86275 still looking forward to season 2 though, there’s certainly potential for the show to grow into its own
@@darkgenesis342 Sure
Parasyte is a really good reference in that moment
Besides the shows mentioned this show also gives me One Punch Man vibes

I agree with you here my friend❤
Anime dad most of the time is either deadbeat or just dead.
That’s why Natsuki Subarus dad is based af sigma giga chad.
😂❤ liked this series, loving the reactions
The voice actor of Hoshina Vice commander is Mist-hashira Muichiro of Demon Slayer.
I’m so glad you guys are reacting to this show now 😍😍😍😍😍😍
i don’t think Kikoru’s age was ever stated officially
bruh it just says she's 16 in episode 3 lmao
@ they distinctly said she graduated at 16 but not that she was 16
Now a father-daughter relationship begins 😂 (Kafka x Kikoru)
Good thing silly girl got hurt, HARD. Too bad she survived, though.
Good discussion. It could very well be like AOT, like a Kaiju civil war. I look at it like Parasyte.
😍Dani🥰
When u going to upload my hero please??
Friday is when they upload MHA 🥲
Words cannot describe how much I loved this show. Have watched quite a few anime. But not a lot did it for me like this one.
That’s honestly surprising, what have you watched so far ?
