  • A fire broke out overnight at the Wood Street homeless encampment in Oakland, starting at around 1 a.m. Tuesday and burning
about 20 cars. The fire came less than 24 hours after Caltrans began phase 2 of the eviction process.

about 250 fires at wood street since march of 2020?? holy shit, took them that many fires to get caltrans to get going? granted, they needed a judge to remove the squatters. I dont suppose, they were burning meth under the bridge?

Nowadays street homeless and are fentanyl addicts, and not capable of doing anything no matter how simple it is. Street encampments are open air drugs markets brewing all sorts of crime. Majority of them will die from fentanyl overdose, or drugs related violence. Second hand fentanyl smoke can easily kill you in no time. Street homeless gradually destroy everything around themselves. We will never reduce street homelessness without reducing the amount of fentanyl drug available on our streets. If they can afford, they smoke fentanyl up to 100 times a day. That's how all these fires are started. Homeless advocates are mentally stuck in Pathological Altruism, and all they do is enabling fentanyl addicts remain as close as possible to their fentanyl dealers.

@@sarbantz well maybe that is true for some out on the street - Poverty and homelessness affects more women and children than anybody else so back it up when you’re telling me about fentanyl because homelessness has been here since Reagan defunded all the mental institutions in California then they did it across this nation so don’t start telling me I’ve been around this world a lot longer and you have an a promise you that’s just not all the problem is a fentanyl overdose come on and you know what if I was homeless I think I would take Fentanyl who wouldn’t or a drink myself to death nobody wants to live on the street how stupid to say that
