Matthew is Korean by ethnicity but he was born and raised in Canada so that makes him Canadian by nationality. He's only been in Korea for less than 5 years so he's really not super fluent in Korean. He speaks English and French. English is his first language and I think he speaks a little bit better French than Korean, but he's improving his Korean these days!!
2:16 was basically a meme of hanbin’s handwriting right after boys planet, because of his spelling of ‘zerobaseone’ 😭

Ricky & zhanghao are Chinese!! Zhang Hao ranked 1st making him the centre, and first non Korean to rank 1st on an mnet survival show.
Hanbin is the leader, & to answer your question about Matthew, he is fully korean, BUT he was born and raised in Canada, so he does struggle with his korean at times, and would be considered as one of the foreign members in the group (alongside Ricky & Zhang Hao)

Def hope you watch another guide honestly their are not to many in depth guides since they are so new but the "a not so helpful guide to zerobaseone" guide is pretty good for getting a better feel of each member and isnt as chaotic lol. Also in the future if u actually get into them they have some of the best variety show content in my opinion, their show is called zbtv hope you react to some of those ep in the future 😊

I had never thought that Gyuvin and Yeonjun look alike, but I do think that Gyuvin looks like Song Kang, and everyone thinks that Yeonjun looks like Song Kang, so I don't think it's a bad comparison at all :D. Loved the reaction, hope to see more of zb1 (and also from p1h, if you can!)
thank you for reacting to zb1!! i hope you can keep watching more content from them or funny moments! i was a fan of only zhang hao (one of the most talented and well rounded idols i’ve seen in awhile he’s top tier in dance and singing, (which is why he won boys planet haha) and even academics 😭) but i became a fan of the whole group after watching boys planet and loving all the zb1 members!
