For some reason I knew that about marking coins and i totally forgot until then! I grew up in the 90s so I saw it done at a games place (a crappy version of time zone) when I got free games!
I’m sure I’ve seen it else where too! Back then everything was cash based in places like that.

Personally the kookaburra coin stood out from the rest, can see why its favourite for so many.

Congrats to all the winners! Well done everyone. Saw my name flash past about three times early on, but alas, it wasn't meant to be for me. Never mind, I had great fun listening to the comments and watching the draw.
There are potentially quite a few coloured coins, though not in circulation. Some years ago the Mint put out a few series with various birds, animals and insects (etc.) on cards. I have a few in my collection, but have never seen any of these in circulation. Also, each year PNCs are released for Christmas, so all in all there are potentially a lot that could be released by the smoking children of collectors. It should be noted that not all the coloured $1 coins are minted for Australia. I have some PNCs where the coins are actually minted for Tuvalu, though the covers (stamps) are Australian.
As many of the winners have said, your videos are always informative, PJ, and new collectors (and older ones like me) can learn a LOT from them. Thank you.
