Crappie Fishing Florida's Newnans Lake

While often overlooked, Florida offers some of the best crappie fishing in the US. Blessed with year-round growing seasons and lots of water the Sunshine State shines when it comes to crappie. We hopped aboard with professional crappie angler TC Lloyd and long lined jigs tipped with live Chartreuse Fire Dye minnows on Newnans Lake near Gainesville and caught dozens of slab size crappie while filming this episode of Pautzke Outdoors.

Love it!!! Good heavens i wish we could go fishing. I live across from newnans lake. Those Crappie's can put up a little fight to be so a smaller fish. I could fish all day but will NOT fish in a smaller boat on Newnans. We have a small bass boat and then a 20ft bay liner. The bigger boat always goes to Newnans after I saw gators next to us bigger than our dang boat!!! Great video guys!
