Never had the Woodford Double Oak but I used to drink the Distillers Select and I really liked. It's not a brand that is overly popular here in germany but I will try the Double Oak asap 👍🏻 When it comes to Jim Beam, never been a big fan of their bourbons, almost every time I had one, there was way too much sweetnes and vanilla in it, I guess it's just not my type of whisky 😉 Great show, man 👍🏻
Hey Andy! Thanks for watching and thanks for the compliment.🙌 I hope you have a good experience with the Double Oaked when you try it; it's got a decent amount of sweetness in there too. I'll track down one of the Distiller Select bottles and good it a try. I agree completely, different tastes appeal to different folks. While I like the peanut notes on Jim Beam, some folks think it leans toward a peanut oil too much. So good thing we have many different bourbons to choose from! Have a good one Andy!🍻
Very nice. I love some JB but haven't tried this one. I have been dipping into the cognacs and scotch lately. Nice to see a change up in the roster as well keep it up brotha!
Darth! I'm a fan of Beam as well, the Double Oak is nice. What's your preferred cognac right now? I'll give it a try. Thanks man, feels good to change it up a bit. Always great to hear from you, have a good one!🍻
@@BeardedMoon D'USSÉ VSOP is a nice mid-range one about $60 for 750ml. where I am. But if you want to live a little and have something special coming up maybe, RÉMY MARTIN XO is really good. It's around $200 a bottle (750ml.) here where I am. Far as the Scotch go's, I'm stuck on what my grandmother drank. Some good ol' Chivas regal 12yr. $40 here for 750ml. All wonderful with a good Cigar of course hehe.
@@darthwolf5741 thank you for the recommendations! I'll look for the D'usse to try first! The Remy Martin sounds like it's worth saving up for and having for special occasions. 💯 with a cigar always! Have a good one brother, thanks again!🍻
Stellar reviews! Makes me want to go grab a bottle for myself!
Thanks Rodney!
Hope you do and that you enjoy!🍻
Excellent comparison! Now you have to make another one comparing Woodford Reserve standard with double oaked ;-)
Thanks Rafa, I appreciate that!🙌
Good call!
Have a good one brother. 🍻
