- Paul shows some street photography from his latest trip to London and a few others from Edinburgh. Most are taken with the Leica Q2 Monochrom with a few also taken with the Leica SL.

Man I love your videos, even though I am not a street photographer. I don't live in a city, I live in the country, the closest town has a gas station, and a Dollar General store. so mine is a different kind of photography. But, I can still find a lot of great info, and inspiration in your videos. Yep, it happened to me, when digital came on, I checked out, but now that B&W printing is so good, I am back. I still shoot film mostly, and do shoot some digital, but I scan negs, so I guess in a round about way, I am doing digital. Anyway... thanks for putting out great content. It makes me a better me!

Terrific as usual.
I'm looking forward to seeing your follow up about Fujifilm cameras. I joke that my old X-E2s with 18mm f/2 (28mm equivalent) is my poor man's Q. I know they are not in the same league, but the Fuji is not bad at a tenth the price.

Paul, I want to ask about photographing f/1.7 on the streets. Do you do it much or reserve 1.7 for street portraits?
I sometimes shoot 1.7 for street if I fancy a change. But a rarely go below F4

Some really great scenes in there, and very close to the people subjects. I especially like the one of the lady with the giant billboard screen saying Multiverse Awaits at 9:50.

Hi Robert, the ones in the studio are a Fuji XE4 with its monochrome mode
Seeing your work with the monochrome makes me regret not getting the monochrome. I need to see if I can produce anything similar with the regular Q2. I know, I know, first world problems but man your work is always really good. I appreciate the story, context and your thought process that goes along with the images. Your photography is what hooked me, but I like hearing peoples thoughts around the images and just in general around this world. Good stuff

Probably not in some places
We'll have to have a trip down there together soon. The Barbican is an amazing location (perfect for the time traveller) that we should visit. Also, more Jonny violence!

My question was: many of your brillant shots seem to be quite spontaneously taken. May I ask you if you mainly shoot that way or do you ask people for permission to photograph them? Are you trying to shoot unobserved or undiscovered or do you act quite obvious? Many thanks and kind regards from Cologne!
