Good work! Vertical Spring can be calculated by = Working Load/settlement Working Load can be taken from soil report or can be estimated by this formula = 0.25*fcu*Area of Pile Settlement can be taken 1% of the diameter of Pile
Really appreciate , thank you so much I just wanna know when we have the capacity of pile then we want to take it in consideration with the presentation of footing how we can do it
Sir, thank you very much. Your videos are so informative. Can I ask how to design a slab on grade using safe or etabs? Up to Eurocode 2 please. Part of the slab is on piles, the other part is on ground (ground bearing slab), Including reinforcement calculation. Also, can you please share this excel file in your video? Many thanks
Sir, which vertical loads and moments shall be used now, for the design of a single pile shaft? Should the PILE CAPACITY be used as vertical loads for the structural design of the shafts? Moreover, which moments shall be used? I intend to design one shaft & 'm trying to use it for the rest of the piles
Very Clear and Concise. Excellent work. This is as good as CSI videos if not better. Thank you. However, you did not input the lengths of the pile in SAFE, will that be an issue? Is it because you chose point springs.... Also, why did you chose point springs instead of line springs? Is it because you only wanted to find out the reactions and punching shear, but you didn't inted to find the buckling failure of the piles?
This is a very good tutorial. It does help in my works. Do you make any tutorials regarding pile cap design by using SAFE software. It will be helpful for me as well as many other engineers.
Are you sure.... the constant of the pile is calculated using EA/L ?... wath about the settlement of the pile ?... and also... the pile is confinated by the soil so its more than a short column isnt it ?

Pile axial stiffness spring formula I have used. May be you are used to familiar with different method.
@ghulam mustafa what's fcu can u please explain
Friction nonlinear spring along of the pile + pressure spring on the pile foot ! This is the right way :)
Sir, your videos are very helpful
I really appreciate your work...
Thank you so much sir
Hi there, How the point spring property (AE/L) have been calculated? Which code does it refer to?
Really appreciate , thank you so much

Did u do it???
Very Good Information video sir
This example still has soil supports for the mat. Is this the typical approach when modeling the piles as springs?
Shall we give area springs raft when we are designing piles under it ?

NICE QUESTIONS. Answers to these questions shall be highly acknowledged
What is that other options than uplift in dynamic... cracked?
How to check crack width
Thank Sir,
Sir, you can calculate Spring K=Qa/Sa
In which:
Qa: allowable pile bearing capacity
Sa: allowable settlement of pile singe
Hi, what do you compare the K=Qa/Sa with to check adequacy?
how do you calculate punching for pile!! I dont see you have assigned pile diameter...or did I missed it??
Thank you so much, sir
Most welcome

how to check the pile group effect in SAFE
Sir, in that case is there no need of assigning soil property to the mat itself?
can you plz share ur excel file for better learning..
at the 12.39 ,please check out the pasted number i think you missed the number"4"
Why do you multiplied 1.2 to the number of piles??
20% safety for foundation support.
sir , can i get that excel calculation sheet
thank you sir
Pile reaction is more than pile capacity for given load combination.
I think pile will fail
Sir could you give the spreadsheet that you used for the entire course ?
Tutorial charge kya hai
can you provide the excel sheet.
Sir can you please put the excel file in the comments section?!
