@@gerald726 maybe? I mean, the count last week was for under 21 points. I guess we can start anew with 21. Thing is, this goes back to the 00’s… Rivera made the comment that if the defense could keep the other team under 21 points, there’s no reason the Bears shouldn’t win. Since then, I think they tend to keep count.

Edit: thinking about it…how pathetic has our offense been that we’re keeping track of an under 20/21 point streak, while posting losing records? I mean, a better stat would be that Swift became the first Bear RB since 2015 to run for 70 and receive for 70 In the same game. (Langford)
Then again lol… that sounds pretty pathetic too…doesn’t it? lol. This team truly needs an offense to compliment a really good defense. Hopefully this one will get there.

They were all over the Rams jock strap. The replay showed the hit originated on Stafford's shoulder then slid up to his head. They also mentioned a play earlier where they felt the same thing happened but the replay must not have supported that because they never showed it.

He looked like a real QB last week but I don't know what a lot of people were watching. He led the NFL in passing yards for week 3 and had 2 excellent touchdown drives in the 4th quarter. He had 1 bad first half throw that was picked, one pick that was right into Odunze's hand and he got out battled for the football and a blind side strip sack in the 4th that was a max protect that should have been blocked better. His adjusted completion percentage week 3 was 71.2% and his average depth of attempt was 11.2 yards, which is pretty big for 52 pass attempts.

  • @joeanderson444

Waldron needs to figure out how to set up the offense at the beginning of games for quick slants and drag plays, so the run opens up a little. The Bears could keep their opponents defense more honest earlier in games to get a flow going quicker! Keenan Allen's bread and butter are short routes and creating space quickly. He's not fast so his coverage can catch up to him after he makes his initial break, and his windows of opportunity are quick. Get Caleb and Allen on the same page early. I think they should run a spread a bit more. Either the opponent use safeties and man coverage on 2 by 2 and keep 7 in the box and nobody gets doubled, or they get some nickel and dime DB's out there to minimize the manpower in the box to run some draw plays! It's about time they utilize the entire 53.3 yards of the field to create a mismatch or spread out that defense to create running lanes! I get this is a McVay offense, but there has to be something in that playbook to run some spread out of!

  • @jtwilliams8895

I think making Swift your bell cow RB, 20+ carries per game, straight up the middle, was poor planning by the coaching staff. That’s obviously not how he’s going to be effective. If you don’t give him a hole to run through, he’s going to get negative yards. But this game was very nice to see.

I want fellow Bears fans to really remember the Montez Sweat strip sack today. Not just because it was a massive play to turn the game around, but because one of the best offensive minds in the league sent in that playcall and that protection. So when those sort of things happen with us, like Kmet being beat by Latu for the strip sack last week or Blasingame missing a blitz pickup week 1, great offensive schemers ask their guys to do those sort of things as well. The big problem with the Bears offense is presnap penalties, no offense can get into rhythm when they have series starting 1st and 15 all the time. We have Carolina and Jacksonville next, and while nothing is guaranteed in this league, 4-2 is a realistic possibility.

Meanwhile, the "the other Heisman Trophy winner and 2nd QB chosen", Jayden Daniels is 1st for rookies and 3rd in the NFL in QBR of 107.1. He has led his team to a 3-1 record and his much less talented team sit atop in their division standings. In their last two games he's lead his team to over 80 points of offense, 7 TDs and 1 INT while completing nearly 90% of his passes and over 400 rushing yards. But don't call him a "generational talent". Let's leave that to Trevor and Caleb. I think it's way past time to stop talking about the QB you traded and acknowledge the QB you got.

    • @LuisGarcia-wq7ih

Pipe down bufford it’s only been 4 weeks. Also don’t mention that Jayden literally runs the same offense from lsu or that he has a run game to lean plus a top 10 pass offensive line. While Caleb is adjusting to a new NFL offense, had to make up for lack of protection in 4 games and lack of running game in 3. Just wait til seasons end and you’ll see why Caleb leagues above Jayden
