Great video. I am still VFR only but I like to practice copying IFR while watching YT aviation channels. Foreflight has a CRAFT scratchpad. I'm not good at it but better to start practicing early so when I start training IFR I'll already have this piece down. Thanks for the video, as always, I am always learning :)
I think the the controllers should get to spend a day copying down rapid fire clearances like that, so they have a little more empathy for us guys scribbling madly on our iPads!
Negative!. Listen faster, they have hundreds of planes waiting in line for their time. You will create a chain reaction. You wouldn't tell your body to bleed out slower because the Dr operating on you is slow. Can't keep up, don't fly flight plans, stay VFR
One thing that surprised me was that in one of the clearances, the controller gave the name of the fixes--I think one was CRAIG-without spelling it out. He was probably aware that the particular pilot was familiar with the fixes. But for someone flying the route for the first time, it might have been necessary to ask the controller to spell out the fixes. Then again, if those fixes were already in the flight plan as filed, the pilot wouldn't have had much trouble in deciphering the clearance.
Especially the first clearance was hard and fast at the route section. Don’t understand that the controller think that you can write as fast as you speak.
It’s was ……😂 a good pilot is always learning. Thanks Jason
Always tremendous videos and a great CFI. You would never guess he’s damn near 7’ tall.
I like a lot the Jason’s videos
Thanks for the great videos Jason!

Knowing the way points always helps. But cant you ask for the exact spelling?
Note that vfr will be
[cleared out of bravo]

[Climb and maintain…]
Departure frequency…
Squawk…
Missed the route otherwise ok. I a VFR pilot.
I tried to copy the clearances….it was a most superb dumpster fire to witness.
